I retained Brian Mitchell and but was dissatisfied with the fees. Initially, I signed a retainer, only to receive a substantial invoice shortly after demanding additional prompt payment. I was surprised by the sudden request given that I do not recall receiving any prior notice that my retainer had b...een depleted and needed replenishment.

DO NOT hire this lady- Kristina Gkikas as your attorney!! She is horrible. She’s only after your money. She’s in no way a client advocate, she will NOT fight for you. She will convince you to accept whatever the other party offers. She doesn’t even make sense while she speaks those few words in court.... She also writes like an 8th grader, I had to correct and re-write all the paperwork she wrote, I honestly thought it was an amateur from her office that had written it. She also charges for everything! Every call, every single email, EVERYTHING, beware!!!! Even their ‘courtesy reminder calls’ you will be charged for. Horrible.

Family law is one of those areas where the judge can just do whatever they want despite the facts - this is where you want a lawyer who understands more than just the law - one who understands the system and its parts. When I was hit with an ex parte order from my ex of 7 years who moved to Cali...fornia to take "her son back" and for alleged unpaid spousal support which I literally had largely overpaid...Kristine stopped it cold. Had it not been for her, life would have been painfully different. In fact - she turned the tables and the ex was ordered to pay back child support which I had not asked for. Kristine kept me calm though the innuendo, lies, and half-truths of the other side, the court drama, and judicial accommodation and tolerance of a vindictive ex. She and her team were superior! End result? I maintained custodial rights and family life returned to normal. Nothing but great things to say about Kristine and her staff. Highly Recommend!

Kristina handled a family members case at the very last minute prior to the hearing date. On the day of the hearing, she was prepared, knew the facts very well. During this emotional time she kept my family informed and we were happy with the results. We may need her again and if so, I would recom...mend her to family and friends who are in need of a Family Law Attorney.

Ms. Kendall-Gkikas is an extremely incompetent attorney, who should not be practicing law, especially an intricate subdivision of Family Law. Her incompetence, lack of knowledge cost me not only years of turmoil in family court, but due to her negligence, I incurred erroneous/frivolous arrearages in ...my child support order. The mistakes that she made were reversed by an extremely competent attorney a few years later. Furthermore, her incompetence cost me tens of thousands of dollars in attorney fees, unfair amount of support paid which led me into bankruptcy, not to mention the emotional distress.
