Knowledgeable and caring

Susan drafted a family plan for my wife and me---will, revocable trust, healthcare directive, and various related documents. She took the time to understand our situation and wishes and to explain why it is advisable to address things one way versus another. She has a talent for explaining clearly an...d instills confidence while doing so. Our current situation is not overly complex, but Susan demonstrated deep knowledge of potential complications and crafted a plan that will accommodate various scenarios. She was easy to work with, flexible on when and where to meet (our home, her office), and cared about our family.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I have known Susan for several years. She is very personable, patient and caring. She is an excellent listener, which is very important quality for an estate planning attorney. She is also very good at explaining possible negative consequences that could occur if she does what they ask her to do. As a result, she is able to effectively steer her clients away from making bad decisions. I endorse this lawyer."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
