Not A Courageous Attorney

RUN AWAY. I hired Peter Korn for my felony case in 2015. He tells you what you want to hear in regards to plea bargain outcomes just to convince you to plead. His M.O. is to act without courage because he perceives acting with courage is risky. What he says would happen on a probation/parole term is ...not actuality. Worser, if your case is in regards to probabtion revocation, he'll lead on like there is zero instance in which it can get reinstated. He'll lead on like your only option is to deal-make and that you can't go to trial on an existing nor a "new beef" charge. He won't disclose to you if your conviction will forever make you a felon or not (whether or not it can be expunged). When you tell him that you don't want to take a deal (that he leads on is your only option), he'll pressure you into thinking that if you don't take it that you'll get more time. If you have an opportunistic accuser then he'll take their side and won't order them to court. Takes advantage of naive litigants and does not believe in them. I did what he said because he made it seem like his way was the only beneficial option for me. Honestly, knowing what I know now, I reccomend to go with a public defender and that you push for trial if you know that your accuser won't show up on account of they lied and made a false police report. Now because of his bang up job, I am in the middle of an appellate remedies mess.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
