My cousin posted our situation on LA Attorney and Paul among other lawyers answered the post. I emailed him and addressed the email to a different attorney as I forgot to change the generic email I made to Paul's name. This was the 1st awesome thing about Paul. Regardless of him receiving an email ad...dressed to a different attorney (i.e. knowing I was shopping around), He still responded to my email and was willing to hear my story. Paul and I talked over the phone and ultimately, I did not have a case with my situation (real estate seller issue [me being the buyer]), but it was the time and knowledge that Paul provided to help me get to our conclusion that I am very grateful to him for. He listened to my plight (the entire story) and told me the truth. I've always had a fear of attorney's wanting a retainer or a consult fee before talking to them, so pursuing a lawyer as always been scary. Speaking with Paul brought me one step closer to conquering that fear as Paul listen to me, told me the truth, gave me some advice, and ultimately saved my husband and I from spending thousands of dollars on mediation/ arbitration that wouldn't get the results desired as we had no case. Thank you Paul. We just wanted to exhaust all opportunities before we signed our cancelation and you gave me the confidence that the house we wanted, was just not meant to be. To the reader reading this, yes my situation is sad, but what good that came from it was speaking with Paul and having the relief of someone having an ear to hear and a heart to receive what we (husband and I) were going through and having the willingness to advise, and all Paul asked in return is if I could write a review. I had a couple issues regarding real estate that I was unsure of how to handle. He quickly and very honestly answered all my questions, so that I could make an informed decision.
