Tal Grinblat is a Shareholder in the intellectual property group of the firm. His practice emphasizes franchising and distribution, trademarks, copyrights and other intellectual property. He is a certified specialist in franchise and distribution law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Grinblat received his Bachelor's Degree with High Honors in 1994 from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his Juris Doctor degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 1997 from the Columbus School of Law of The Catholic University of America.
Mr. Grinblat is a member of the State Bar of California, as well as the American, Los Angeles County, and San Fernando Valley Bar Associations. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising, The International Franchise Association, and the Los Angeles Copyright Society. He has been a member of the Franchise Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California since August, 2005 and has served as Chair of the Committee in the 2008-2009 term. Most recently, he was selected by Super Lawyers as a 2010 "Rising Star" in Los Angeles Magazine.
Mr. Grinblat has written extensively on franchise, trademark and copyright matters and has been published in the Franchise Law Journal, the Los Angeles Daily Journal, San Fernando Valley Business Journal and New Matter, which is the official publication of the intellectual property section of the State Bar of California.
