Thoughtful, compassionate, strategic, smart, honest and focused on what our kiddo needed.

We chose David because he has a very impressive breadth of knowledge and depth of experience. We felt very confident that he would help us protect our child's rights to get educated. He is thoughtful, compassionate, strategic, smart, honest and focused on what our kiddo needed. We also knew, if we... needed to take our case beyond Due Process and an administrative hearing, David had the knowledge and experience to do it. Some lawyers are afraid to go to trial, or just want to rush you to accept an offer to unburden their own case load - not David. We never felt rushed or pushed into a decision. He was very easy to work with, and always explained the pros and cons of a decision, ambitious yet also tethered to realistic outcomes. We also observed him with interactions with the OAH Judges and colleagues, it was obvious he is very well respected. He is able to remain collaborative and collegial, without being a pushover. No one can guarantee outcomes, but in our case, David was able to negotiate all the things we needed for our child, and keep the relationships between the school district and our family in tact. We highly recommend him. We felt our child's future was safe in his hands.

Highly recommend!

We were referred to David by our advocate. We had previously consulted with another attorney which wasn't a good fit for our family's situation. Our consultation with David was different. You can tell right away that he has experience in all facets of sp. ed. and advocates for people like us to be... heard and validated. Being a resident of Orange County, I was concerned that David's law firm is far away in LA County. However, I felt reassured knowing that he has extensive experience with many school districts. He is very smart and speaks loads of information, but in language that makes sense to the non lawyer person. He was patient and hopped on a phone call to break down our documents. Fortunately, we had a favorable outcome and I had this overwhelming sense of emotion that we did everything we could to help our son thrive and succeed with the right supports in place. David was instrumental to making this happen. My husband and I can't thank David enough for helping us and advocating for our family. Our stress and anxiety levels were reduced tremendously and we will continue to have David along on our son's educational journey. Raffaella, his assistant, is also wonderful! Very prompt with communication and so sweet! Thank you David and Raffaella!

Home Run. Strong Recommend.

Home Run. David German is head and shoulder above any special education attorney. His reputation and methods work wonders with public school districts. When we had no hope and an extremely resistant school district, he created a win-win environment. We returned with service beyond our expectations an...d afterward had a better working relationship with the district employee. He is honest about your case, sets clear expectations, and takes the time to listen and explain. He even has extensive experience with therapeutic boarding school placements and payments.

Excellent and compassionate

I worked with David German who is excellent and compassionate. His knowledge of special education law is obviously exhaustive, and he is highly skilled at translating that complexity to clients. His staff are professional and kind and respond to emails and phone calls very quickly. Above all David's ...compassion centers the child at the heart of special education, making him a fierce advocate. I'm grateful to have been represented by him and his firm and highly recommend him.

Highly Recommended

I'm a relatively new parent to the special needs world with a child diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder at 3 yrs (now 4yrs). We sought council from David German after our initial IEP (which I initially thought went smoothly) and the placement school failed to make appropriate accommodations for my... daughter's life saving epinephrine medication (Epi-pen) and also changed the class program from inclusive to a standard PALs class. Mr. German took the time to help us understand the IEP process which is not as translucent as most parents new to IEPs require. He helped us achieve a more than satisfactory conclusion. His assistant Itzel, has also been timely with responses and helpful in understanding procedure LAUSD requires. Unfortunately this year's IEP process has its own difficulties, however this time I'm not hesitating to seek Mr. German for additional council. We're relieved to have someone like him on our side.
