I met a young man once years ago who had been f@$#ed over by his hired attorney MELVIN BETNUM. The story he told me was awful, the poor man had been preyed upon, lied to and his situation was far worse in the end than when he hired Betnum. I honestly don’t even remember specifics of his story but I d...o remember being appalled, angered and feeling so sorry for this young black man. Literally turned a maximum sentence into all but case being dismissed. I dont know many people in law, b...ut if i needed assistance in the future, id ask him first without any hesitation. The worse lawyer ever did not want to do his job. Basically forced me in to taking the deal like he was the D.A. Calling me a drug addict. 2,450$ for pretrial and did nothing for me that a public defender couldn't do lied to me saying we have a great chance at winning the case then asked for 3,000 mo...re for trail. I pay it we go back to court then he tells me we are 99 percent gonna lose. Don't ever hire him or any one from the law office of David s. Chesley inc.
