They prey upon people who are in need of a lawyer. Some guy named Charles Gish will call you and give you a little rundown on what your charges are and basically make it seem like they are the best lawyers ever for a down payment of $500 and $3000 after that in installments of $500 every two weeks. T...hey don’t communicate with you what’s so ever and the lousy lawyer Melvin Betnun arrived OVER 3 HOURS LATE TO MY TRIAL. They didn’t discuss a single thing about my case with me up until the very day of my case and basically handed me a deal that he probably memorized by heart from scamming so many people and told me to plead no contest. Literally when asked by Compton court “who is your lawyer?” They looked it up on the clipboard and read allowed “oh it’s Betnun” they all LAUGHED out loud together. Right then and there I knew I was in for the worst deal of my life and to my very little surprise I was right. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!!!!! DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!! They also have no online presence on purpose so people can’t openly complain about them. I have proof that I hired these people.

I should have known better when I received a cold call from Moshe, the office director. At the time, I mistakenly thought he was the attorney. He quickly collected my payment, but after that, communication was minimal or nonexistent. Moshe told me to "sit back and relax" and assured me that he "handl...es cases like mine every day." I became increasingly concerned when no one reached out to discuss legal strategy with me, especially with court just three days away. Eventually, I received a call from Melvin, the actual attorney. Our conversation lasted a total of eight minutes, during which he seemed confused about the charges filed against me. I got the impression that he was incompetent and never asked how I wanted to plead. The deal that was offered to me was terrible, and Moshe, the office manager, even suggested that I accept jail time. I feel cheated by this office. I was misled, and I don't believe anyone was genuinely advocating for me. This experience was no better than having a public defender.
