I was recommended to him by my bankruptcy lawyer to handle my non-stop creditor calls. I can't express how much stress I've been consumed with. During my consultation with Tom, he expressed great concern and explained to me how he would help and with my utmost participation. By which I had to collect... all the dates and times of each phone call I received. This took me some time to gather but I tried to be very quick in getting all the logs needed for him to look over. After submitting the all necessary documents; he pretty much took control from there. It was smooth sailing. He emails periodically, and calls with major updates. He is consistent, reliable, and fair. He has been amazing and I'm so blessed that that I will receive a large settlement with his hard-work. Totally recommend him!!!!

To The Readers of Rating/Review Blogs & Websites: This commendation is written as it relates to my personal experiences with the legal services provided by Mr. Tom Martin and Mr. Nick Bontrager, of Martin & Bontrager, APC., 6565 W Sunset Blvd, Suite 410, Los Angeles, CA 90028. My journey in th...e Consumer Law “realm” was not one that I ever desired. Unfortunately, circumstances warranted that I retain counsel in order to clear up multiple & damaging inaccuracies on my credit reports. Given there are very few attorneys, if any, willing to practice this area in my location resulted in me procuring the services of Mr. Martin and Mr. Bontrager. I found them via a Google search and are admitted to practice in my State. Hiring an attorney is one of the hardest decisions I had to make. Nevertheless, the fact that there are “few & far between” made the decision relatively easier. I did as much due diligence as I could about this firm and I found nothing but satisfactory and positive ratings. I figured what do I have to lose? During my initial consultation, I was given the opportunity to take as much time as needed to provide the details of my circumstances. Appropriate questions were asked on both sides, we both soon began to be on the same pages, and I was provided with the details on how this type of litigation works. I was not left on the phone “wondering” – I was given more than enough time to ask as many questions as needed to fully grasp what would be transpiring. One of the most impressive aspects of Tom is that he is willing to take A LOT of time to ensure one understands the situation. He is not one to give you one chance at understanding – afterall, this is MY interests that I am entrusting in another’s hands. Nevertheless, the fact that Tom and/or Nick would rather explain the processes thoroughly, while ALWAYS keeping the lines of communication open, put my mind at ease that I was making the right decision to use this firm for the matters at bar. Once we quickly began the demands and contacting of the opposing parties, there were no hesitations with Tom aiming for the jugular. I tried my best to provide (them) with as much documentation as possible in order to help my "team" be in a position to make certain demands in order to effectuate settlements. This was accomplished 9 times with a combination of 7 different creditors and 3 other defendants. Furthermore, all matters moved relatively quickly and I was always kept informed. I would say all works out well when you have the appropriate professionals at the helm! Ultimately, all issues were resolved to my satisfaction and my reputation has been restored. I am happy that I will not have to worry about a credit issue anymore and I am VERY pleased I had, what I consider, to be the best representation in these matters anyone could obtain! Anything less than professional and anything less than success was not an option. Tom certainly takes all his clients seriously and the proof is in the restoration of my good name. I would HIGHLY recommend you employ this firm’s services for FCRA and/or FDCPA matters if you want results and not excuses!

Working with Tom was such a great experience. He is knowledgeable, caring, consistent and kept me in the loop the whole time. I was being harassed by a creditor after I filed for bankruptcy. He was able to get an award in my favor (because of the contact). As embarrassing as filing for bankruptcy is..., I never once felt any shame or embarrassment speaking to Tom about it and he treated me with respect. If you are thinking about contacting him, do not hesitate. He is a professional.

I had three separate issues; 1) Creditor had been paid in full some time ago but misreported the account balance and status on my credit report - Tom Martin got this information removed and a settlement paid including attorney fees; 2) Collector (different creditor) used threatening tactics on the te...lephone - Tom Martin got erroneous credit information reported by the collector removed, debt forgiven, and a settlement paid including attorney fees; 3) On a third matter, Tom Martin was able to get disputed credit information removed, and obtain a settlement including Attorney Fees.
