Erik R Overlid

I was born and raised in the Twin Cities, and graduated from the University of Minnesota before heading off to law school. My dad worked in a factory his entire life, and my mom cleaned hotel rooms until she started a home daycare business. My extended family are postal workers, chefs, truck drivers, waitstaff, construction workers, you name it. The point being, I'm passionate about defending Minnesota's working class, because Minnesota's working class are my people.

In addition to growing up in Minnesota and reaping the benefits of our world-class public school system, I cut my teeth as a young attorney in notoriously-litigious Los Angeles, CA. If Minnesotans are famous for their niceness, Los Angeles litigation attorneys are just as famous for their ferocity. Having the opportunity to hone my skills as a lawyer with and against some of the world's best attorneys was an invaluable experience, and the lessons I learned there work to my clients' advantage now.
