Counselor (Attorney at Law) Jeffrey A. Brightwell represented me in a matter that could have become criminal but was able to intervene and rectify the situation wherein a car rental company had--automatically--placed a late car rental return into a potential operating and possession of a motor vehicl...e without the owner's permission. The impersonal and muckraking auto rental company, Alamo, which I don't recommend, was made to rescind their allegedly automatic report of the overdue car being in a state of potential unlawful possession and operation. Jeffrey was quite prompt and thorough; his quick action nipped the entire matter in the bud. I highly recommend him--his integrity and experience are second to none and his familiarity with the 14+ LA vicinity courthouses and judges comes from his 26 years of practice in the LA area. Counselor Brightwell is a true California native whose demeanor and pleasant way allow him to communicate with all ethnicities with casual ease and grace. Jeffrey also created a settlement with a Korean Lodge that had provided me with long term housing. He helped me negotiate am adjusted price and exit contract with carefully worded original language protecting me from any wear and tear liability and the return of my deposit for the 6 months I had dwelled in their Hotel. It is noteworthy that he did so with a wealthy Korean American family owner and they normally do not easily participate in American law and courts. His Agreement was original and comprehensive and indicative of the distance Attorney Brightwell will go to accomplish his clients specific needs at a reasonable price for the amount of original work done--no pulling and editing of contracts and agreements on file or in form letter format as you would experience with larger law firms. To conclude, I highly recommend Counsellor Brightwell for any matter, particularly one requiring unique solutions or original, novel (de novo) contractual language.
