I have been an attorney for over 34 years. During my career, I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in various employment, real estate and business disputes. I have had tremendous success in both jury trials and arbitrations.
Because my firm is small, I can give each case the attention it deserves so that the client has the best chance of achieving victory at trial. I never forget that your case is the most important case to you.
I also know that my clients do not want to be involved in litigation because it takes away time and resources that should be devoted to running and growing a business. That is why I provide my clients day-to-day advice to ensure their compliance with state and federal laws and to develop risk management programs.
And if one of my clients is involved in litigation, I work diligently to resolve the case without compromising the client's interests and goals. Because my opponents know that I have the experience to win at trial, I can achieve excellent settlement results for my clients.
I have extensive training and experience in negotiation and settlement techniques. Not only do I use these skills to help my clients, but I also act as a private mediator, helping others settle disputes. I mediate all types of cases including real estate disputes, business disputes and personal injury case.
I have been named to the Southern California Super Lawyers list as one of the top attorneys in Southern California every year since 2013. I was also nominated for a 2012 Trusted Advisor Award by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. I was one of only 40 attorneys in the entire San Fernando Valley who were nominated. I have also been recognized by the Los Angeles Superior Court for my volunteer services as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Neutral. I am a member of the State Bar of California and I am also licensed to practice in the United States District Court, Central District.

David is all of the things you want in an attorney as noted in my scores above. He is excellent at not only being reasonable but explaining the law in terms that the average person can understand. He is very open about the inequities in the system so you are prepared for not only what may come from t...

David kept us informed and returned phone calls promptly. He listened well and genuinely seemed concerned. Mr. Decastro was thorough and told us all our options. If he did not know the answer he would research it for us. He was easy to work with, under a very difficult situation.

California labor law is heavily biased against employers, so I was worried about a former employees' claim and how many thousands I would have to pay. But David helped me win the case , and was helpful in instructing me in preventative measures for the future.

Never been sued and not knowing what to do nor expect, made phone calls to attorneys of whom I know and worked with thru work and ask for referrals of an attorney they have worked with dealing in Real Estate. David DeCastro came highly recommended. Prior to meeting with him, sent over the suit served...

I was referred to David Decastro by my accounting firm. I had an employee/unemployment dispute that need resolution. David was outstanding. He immediately drew up an agreement between myself and my employee that protected everyone involved. David was prompt, knowledgeable, and extremely professional....
"I became acquainted with Mr. DeCastro when he was retained to represent a defendant in a contentious sexual harassment case in which I was Plaintiff’s counsel. The case was a long and difficult one, filled with difficult parties, several depositions and mediations. Through it all, I found Mr. De Castro to know the law and have sound strategies in the litigation process. However, more importantly, he always acted in the best interest of his client. Too often, defense firms churn defense cases in an effort to make more money. That was not the case here. Here, Mr. De Castro was efficient, yet thorough. He clearly advocated on behalf of his client, but never lost respect for any of the parties or the legal process. For these reasons, I refer all defense cases to DeCastro and Morrow."
"When I was a mediator for David DeCastro, I was impressed how prepared he was for the mediation. He understood all the relevant laws and facts, and utilized a PowerPoint presentation to clearly and efficiently explain his client's position. His preparation and abilities paid off, making it easy for me to convince the other side why settling for what was on the table was better than going to court."
