It's been a month since I last used Ms. Blade's services. For over a year, during the course of a very unpleasant legal (non-criminal) matter, Ms. Blade revealed to me what a truly disatisfying attorney-client relationship can be. I heartily caution you - man or woman - against retaining Jacqueine ...Blade for anything. This will be the first negative review I've ever written about anyone's services, and I do so only out of a feeling of civic responsibility. Jacqueline kept me in the dark about daily matters, no navigational day-to-day view and no long-view on the road ahead, no follow-up on simple procedural matters. She had this jaw-dropping habit of simply forwarding the other side's emails to me without comment, context, guidance, or even a signature block. Freakishly often I had the feeling she was "milking the clock". I was prompting her at every turn, asking for the most rudimentary guidance. I would have fired Ms. Blade after the first month of using her services, but felt this would have reduced my chances at getting anything I wanted out of my case; ironically, the very opposite would have been true. Four months into my client relationship with Ms. Blade, it became painfully clear that I would not be able to count on her for any form of strategic guidance or even get a sense of where I was in the process. As the Claimant in my legal matter, I felt strongly I should have some form of strategic advantage. Jacqueline was confoundingly silent on the simple matter of what I should do, what my options were, and what directions I might possibly take at every step of the process. Moreover, she made administrative errors and fumbles at least three times, resulting in additional cost to me (money and time) and general confusion with the other side's attorney; she lost leverage at every point in the process, and failed to hold the other side accountable an honorable. Worst of all, Ms. Blade appeared to have a negative rapport with the other side's attorney, and to hold me in disregard (it seemed to me she insinuated several times that she did not, personally, espouse my cause). Now, I should clarify that mine was not a criminal case, and that I should have come out at the end of the process with everything I wanted. I'll concede that my legal matter was not a pleasant one, and that I don't relish the topic. Nevertheless, I've released Ms. Blade at this point and retained a different attorney. I'm so relieved now to be in the hands of someone competent. I sincerely urge you not to use Jacqueline's services.
