Biography
Donald S. Sherwyn, received his Juris Doctorate from Whittier College School of Law in 1981. After serving 4 years as in-house corporate counsel for Computer Memories, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed corporation, he started his private law practice in the Warner Center area of the San Fernando Valley. Since 1990, Mr. Sherwyn has practiced all phases of family law and also handled numerous personal injury and business litigation cases. Family law now constitutes the great majority of his professional work.
Mr. Sherwyn has substantial trial and appellate experience. Mr. Sherwyn has also served on the Los Angeles Superior Court pro bono arbitration and mediation panels for family and civil law since 1991, volunteered as an arbitrator and mediator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and was awarded special recognition as the Los Angeles Superior Court ADR Volunteer of the Year in 2008. Mr. Sherwyn also has served as Judge Pro Tem in various districts to assist the Los Angeles Superior Court. He is a member of the Family Law Sections of the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
