A waste of money and time

He took my case and handed me off to Julie Berkus who could not understand a simple situation. She continually miscomprehended even the most simple situations. They could not prevent another lawyer from billing illegally to my trust for proven non-trust issues, even with ample and verifiable docume...nted proof. Waste of time and money. The other lawyer just laughed at him and continued. I had to gond a decent lawyer to put that lawyer where he needs to be. Some say they were colluding with the other attorney to bill both parties maximum amount because no lawyer could be that dumb.

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"As a volunteer Mediator for the LASC Settlement program, Justin listened to the issues, made suggestions, conveyed offers back and forth, and worked within the rules to settle the case. Regrettably that one did not settle, but I have since heard him lecture and he is worth listening to, as a panel member at a training or as a Probate Court litigant. He also has successfully argued 2 appellate cases: Sanders v Lawson (2008) 164 Cal. App. 4th 434 and Conservatorship of George H. (2008) 169 Cal. App. 4th 157."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
