He found documents placed in my file proving that the D.A. & the Judge held a court date without my knowledge sentencing me to more time than i agreed to ultimately resulting in an indefinite sentence. Although my case was not won in appeals court the inf...o James Bisnow found shook up the right people and to my suprise im free today.

When he was a Deputy Public Defender in LA Superior Court, James Bisnow caught two LAPD homicide detectives, in a lying scheme to convict me of first-degree murder (in 1984). Bisnow never accused them of lying, but he cornered them in a way that the jury could make their own obvious conclusion. Bi...snow not only squeezed the truth out of, but in the same moment he scribbled a note to me: Never taking his eyes off, he walked over and laid the note on the defense table in front of me and I looked down at it and I read, "Stop smirking!" This first time I observed him in court, before he was assigned to me, I heard a judge say "You're being argumentative Mister Bisnow." And I thought, I pray to God that I get him! I did get Mr. Bisnow, and he argued my case with complete aplomb. He also taught me the proper courtroom demeanor, i.e., to sit up straight even when I was thoroughly exhausted, because it made me look bored (which of course I was not). The way James Bisnow put his heart and soul into finding the truth and helping me bring it out was like having the hand of God on my side. Thirty years later, with a fair amount of litigation in my life, James Bisnow remains beyond comparison. He is the standard bearer. If you are truly innocent, I hope you get him on your side.
