I needed to begin the very cumbersome process of terminating paternal parental rights/obtaining full legal and sole custody of my daughter. I did a bunch of research on my own and had a healthy understanding of the laws and practice in California. When I began to look for legal representation I calle...d 10 family law lawyers, 6 from large firms and 4 as referrals. More than HALF didn't even know you could terminate parental rights, a quarter told me it was too hard and to not even try, and the rest gave inappropriate advice to further their own business objectives. My final call was to Erika who was referred to me by a family friend, and was she a breath of fresh air! Not only did she know what I was talking about, she had experience in the matter AND was very matter of fact of the challenges, the opportunities and how she could represent me. This review is long overdue. Erika helped my very close family members with their divorce. Their previous attorney had passed away, leaving the dissolution incomplete. Erika was amazing from the first call through the court dates and till the end. She was able to provide sound advice and direction for our sticky custody case.
