Can't Say Enough Great Things

Erika was my second attorney during my divorce, which was not easy and lasted several years to resolve. She is very knowledgeable, well prepared, and is familiar with anticipating the Judge. I really got the feeling that she truly wants the best outcome and to resolve the situation with the best out...come as quickly as possible so as not to burn through my money needlessly by "fighting" with the other side and filing needless filings. She even was very amicable and professional to my X, who, also an attorney, was pleasantly surprised. I went from essentially no custody of my children to practically sole custody. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. And she's a nice person boot, making an already emotionally challenging and difficult situation, bearable. She is not inexpensive, rather she is worth it. I'm sure I would have paid much more for someone not as skilled, who just wanted to keep things going with the other side, instead of resolving things quickly and efficiently, while keeping my best interest in mind.

Prolonged Divorce Procees and Charged $55,000

This attorney will prolong one's divorce because she wants to get paid and this is how she does it. The opposing council asked..."why haven't we terminated the marriage "? She said.. "I think its convenient for me and my soon to be ex-husband to continue to be marriage ". This way she will continue g...etting paid. She would tell me..."I working for you so, that you walk away with as much money" but this is when I realized that she was charging so much money and I was not saving any money. When I told her what she was doing to me, this is when she would be upset and would threatened me...."I think that we are not good fit and you should find yourself another attorney". Or whenever I would forget, or didn't understand, or would tell her that she was not doing what I was paying for her to do. This is when she would threatened me with dropping my divorce case after being with her for a year and half. She would do this throughout this whole year and half. She was a FAKE and would PRETEND to CARE about my SUFFERING. I regret the day that I hired her and the bad thing also is that she also has my name. We parted ways on May 21, 2021.

The assertions made by this former client are not accurate. Divorces are emotional and difficult times and while the attorney-client privilege prevents me from responding fully to the assertions made, what is accurate is that I deeply understand the importance of the attorney-client relationship and when I believe a client's position to be unreasonable or unrealistic, I first try to align with my client's goals in an attainable way. When that is not possible, I will indeed recommend that the client seek different legal representation which is what happened with this client. I have no interest in continuing to work with a client, for any amount of money, when it is clear the client is unwilling or unable to work cooperatively in a realistic way to reach conclusions in their matter. I do care about my clients, I know who this former client is, and to this day I care that she obtains a result she is happy with. I took this client through to the very end of her matter with the exception of a few issues that we did not align on and, in good faith, I let this client know I was not comfortable continuing to represent her any longer for a variety of reasons related to her expectations and a general breakdown in communication that the attorney client privilege does not allow me to elaborate on. At the conclusion of our working relationship I offered to communicate with a new attorney, at no cost, if she chose to retain one, to bring that person up to speed on her case, to ensure seamless representation for her, and to ensure that she incurred as little in attorney's fees as possible for her new counsel to understand the remaining issues in her matter. While this client did not pursue that offer, she continued to reach out to me with questions after my representation concluded, which I responded to kindly and professionally, and directed her to her new attorney, as I no longer represented her at that time. I understand that she has found new legal representation and within months of doing so has posted a similarly negative review about her new attorney. Unfortunately it seems she continues to be dissatisfied with the legal representation she is receiving no matter where it comes from. I continue to wish this client well, I stand by all of the work and representation I did on her behalf, and am sorry to see she is still experiencing a difficult time. I hope that the process comes to an end for her soon so she can move forward with her life. I welcome any potential client's questions about my process. I am transparent about my process and work with all of my clients, including this one, and remain committed to representing people with integrity.

Amazing consultation

I couldn’t afford to hire this brilliant lawyer, however, I invested in a consultation that provided me with the knowledge, straight forward information I needed after hiring the wrong attorney who was over litigating, blowing smoke, and over charging. Erika understood the importance of trusting an...d having confidence in an advocate. She knew I was unhappy and she listened to my concerns, my situation and brainstormed a legal strategy that I was able to take to my new counsel. She is a fast thinker, a fluid speaker and highly knowledgeable all the while remaining sensitive knowing that family law can be a nightmare. She’s sensible and gets it and she’s not someone who backs down or is easily intimidated by opposing counsel. Thank you Erika for your guidance

Highly Recommended!

Erika is everything you could possibly ask for in a lawyer. She was exactly the support my wife and I needed during our difficult custody case. She is extremely supportive and caring, while at the same time being a strong advocate while working on our case and representing us in court. Her competence..., professionalism and sincerity gave us peace during a very trying time in our lives. We are so grateful that we met Erika and cannot say enough about the job she did for us. She goes above and beyond in all aspects of her profession. Highly recommended if you need a family lawyer.
