Steven Abraham Wolvek

I consulted and hired him for my custody case. He was very organised with the court dates, consistently updated me with the case movement and changes. He thoroughly explained to me all the legal process involved. When all the court hearings were done, he was able to win my case and got me FULL custod...y of my kids. We were supposed to meet up in Sacramento, to show my case file and sign some papers, never got a phone call that he made it to Sacramento. Two days later still no communication from Steve, so I call him, feeling blown off, he said he still wants to see my case but wants me to send him a copy of my p...apers, audio/videos of the Assault on a Disabled person who’s on prescribe medication. Furthermore, thinking about this just being a waste of time, and loss of money to send this information, and to be to no I cant help you! all over again. so coping everything and sending it off to him cost me over $68.00 to send to him, by Fedex, so I knew he would receive it, with that said the audio/videos, and all of the documents that I sent, he responded less than 24 hrs and said sorry can’t help you. I just feel that he didn’t want my case, why have me go through of getting this all prepared for Steve. Why not just be up front and just say no! I can’t help you, like all of the other Attorneys have stated up front. JUST SAYING!

Please save your money by not hiring him. He has no knowledge on Family law. He is unskilled attorney and does not know what he is doing. For example, by the Family Law, the brief for the Voluntary Settlement Conference must be submitted to court at least 7-14 weeks prior to the conference. Mr Wo...lvek sent me an email two days before the conference saying that he will be working on the brief. He did not prepare the brief nor did he gathered all the required documents from the opposing party and me. Then, he called the court and rescheduled the conference. He did not notify me that he rescheduled the conference because he was not prepared. I had to call the court to find out that my case was rescheduled. Mr. Wolvek provides free telephone appointments for his clients. But these telephone appointments are useless. He never does what he says to you over the phone. Rescheduling the conference due to no submission of brief and no required documents from Petitioner and Respondent is a great example of Mr. Wolvek's malpractice. Mr. Wolvek has no knowledge in Family Law. For example, by Family Law, the attorney must collect the Income and Expense Declaration to settle the custody and divorce case. Mr. Wolvek never asked me to submit this declaration nor did he request the opposing party. By the Family Law, to settle the divorce case, the house owned by Petitioner and Respondent must be appraised and sold or buy-out. Because Mr. Wolvek's lack of knowledge in the Family Law, my house, within 9 months, has not been appraised nor had the appraisers' names been selected and approved to settle the divorce. Shortly, I hired another attorney to handle my case.

He was my second divorce attorney (I fired the first one) and I am so appreciative of everything Steve did. Everything was about cost, moving the process along and keeping me in the loop. He always took my calls and didn't bill me for nearly as much as he could have. I was shocked on how much c...heaper my fees were when compared to other people who went through divorce proceedings. I can guarantee he will not push you through a bunch of theatrics and bill you for the them. The man is honest and knowledgeable about the law, what your options are and the possible outcomes of those options. The man gave me back my freedom. Thank you Mr. Wolvek!

I hired Steven's office back in September 2012 to represent me with my chapter 13 filing (Reorganization program). I was in a five (5) year payment plan that just concluded in October 2017. I received my successful discharge from the court in early January this year. Threw out my five years of going... threw this program I had to contact Steve's office several times for various reason, tax return issues, payment modifications, mortgage issues etc etc. Steven was there to help and assist me every single time. Weather I called or emailed him he would respond immediately. I would also use his website to schedule consultations which was super easy & convenient. The entire experience from start to finish was extremely pleasant and I'm very happy that I had Steven's office help me with this case.
