I had been wrestling with a very difficult, draining and painful situation regarding my son for years and finally decided to enlist the help of an attorney. After speaking to several law offices and not feeling overly confident with any of them, a good friend recommended I talk to Steve. By the halfw...ay mark of the consultation I was fully convinced that Steve was the right attorney for me and hired him. My experience with Steve has been nothing but outstanding. He has helped me through the process, taking the time to explain everything in great detail and answer any and all questions/concerns I've had along the way. To be clear, I had A LOT of questions and was absolutely not the easiest client to deal with at times, given the emotional nature of the case. Steve never complained once, always took the time to ease my mind and helped me keep my focus fixed on the light at the end of the tunnel. The man is truly a pillar of kindness and patience. Not only is Steve a phenomenal lawyer, he is a genuinely good, honest man who has imparted some incredibly valuable advice to me that has helped me immensely. He's even given me gardening advice! Steve worked tirelessly on my case, going above and beyond to accomplish everything and do so in an incredibly efficient manner, resulting in our winning of my case and obtaining full legal and physical custody of my son. I was going crazy because after more than 5 yrs. The father of my children wanted to take his visitation with my youngest child. She was having panic attacks. Then my brother recommended Steven and he was right. Steven not only helped us with that, but he was a good friend and he explained everything... in a simple way so that I can understand. Now my daughter can be confident again and she will see a specialist before just going to the hands of a stranger, because that is exactly what her father is. A stranger. Now she has a safe place to start a therapy.

Please save your money by not hiring him. He has no knowledge on Family law. He is unskilled attorney and does not know what he is doing. For example, by the Family Law, the brief for the Voluntary Settlement Conference must be submitted to court at least 7-14 weeks prior to the conference. Mr Wo...lvek sent me an email two days before the conference saying that he will be working on the brief. He did not prepare the brief nor did he gathered all the required documents from the opposing party and me. Then, he called the court and rescheduled the conference. He did not notify me that he rescheduled the conference because he was not prepared. I had to call the court to find out that my case was rescheduled. Mr. Wolvek provides free telephone appointments for his clients. But these telephone appointments are useless. He never does what he says to you over the phone. Rescheduling the conference due to no submission of brief and no required documents from Petitioner and Respondent is a great example of Mr. Wolvek's malpractice. Mr. Wolvek has no knowledge in Family Law. For example, by Family Law, the attorney must collect the Income and Expense Declaration to settle the custody and divorce case. Mr. Wolvek never asked me to submit this declaration nor did he request the opposing party. By the Family Law, to settle the divorce case, the house owned by Petitioner and Respondent must be appraised and sold or buy-out. Because Mr. Wolvek's lack of knowledge in the Family Law, my house, within 9 months, has not been appraised nor had the appraisers' names been selected and approved to settle the divorce. Shortly, I hired another attorney to handle my case.

I had very little time before my child custody court date to hire a lawyer. Mr. Wolvek was one of the few lawyers I had consulted my case with and hiring him as my lawyer turned out to be a complete success. He had answers and advice for me about my case before I even hired him. I would definitely re...commend him to anyone going through child custody issues. He may not tell you what you want to hear but he will definitely tell you what you need to know. It's not impossible to find a good lawyer at a very reasonable cost. Thank you Mr. Wolvek.
