This review is from a potential client who consulted with this attorney.

Lawyers like him don’t make a difference.

Don’t bother hiring him if your case is not over 25k. No matter what you have to say or are going through he won’t proceed.

Got my house and sanity back for me!

Got my home and sanity back thanks to Nathaniel!!! Attorney Brown guided and supported me with his legal expertise to get an extremely difficult tenant out of my house. As soon as I realized I had a problem I searched online and saw great reviews from his past clients. So glad others had such suc...cess with Attorney Brown and posted as it led me to him. The free consultation allowed both of us to understand my situation and the legal direction we would take. He was concise, always was available to direct me properly and my trust in him proved to resolve what could have been a continuous headache of a tenant. Thank you, Nathaniel for getting me through this challenge. DG

Unprofessional Individual

I contacted Nathaniel's office and agreed upon a set price prior to booking a paid consultation visit the next day. I made it very clear ahead of time for this set pricing so there would not be any issues. Next day Nathaniel was 15 minutes late to our meeting, I explained my situation and mailed hi...m a check as requested to conduct the work. 7 days go by and instead of receiving the finished work, Nathaniel instead increases the price to do this work and to my surprise didn't even start. When I tried to work with him on the pricing instead to move forward and save time, he was simply unwilling and said it wasn't worth his time.... even though his office agreed to it. Instead he wasted my time and put me in a bind of starting the whole process over, all because he didn't honor his own deal.

I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience with my office. Integrity is the most important thing to me both personally and professionally. Our office is committed to honesty with all our clients and potential clients. My staff are among the kindest and most professional people I have ever worked with and anyone calling my office will discover that immediately. That being said: After speaking with my staff, it was clear that while there may have been a misunderstanding during the middle of the call as to how many hours I would be willing to spend on your matter for a flat rate, at the end of the call my staff made quite clear that any changes in the amount I asked them to communicate to you would need to be reviewed with me personally. When I received your check for an amount less than that which was communicated to you, I immediately reached out to you without cashing your check to advise you of the error in the amount. I even offered to return or destroy your check. However, you chose to threaten my office with bad reviews if I didn't either accept the amount you sent me or return everything including the $99 consultation fee for a consultation you had already received at that point. I charged you no additional fees beyond your initial phone consultation fee of $99 despite having already spent more than an hour reviewing your lease. Everyone who contacts my office is provided with a choice of a free consultation in person or a $99 phone consultation unless they are disabled and are physically unable to come to my office. $99 for 30 minutes of an attorney's time by phone is entirely reasonable. Most attorneys charge full rate $300-600 per hour for their consultations. However, I believe I have a duty as a member of the bar to facilitate access to the legal system even for people that cannot afford to hire an attorney for their case. You were given 45 minutes because I wanted you to feel like you were able to discuss your matter completely. Then you filed a dispute of the $99 with your credit card company claiming that you did not receive the consultation that you did, in fact, receive with me. I hope you will choose to be more reasonable and fair in the future with other professionals in the same way you would want your clients to be reasonable and fair with you. I also wish you all the best of success with your legal matter.

Brilliant Attorney Retained for Business

Our company retained Nathaniel, from BrownMcClain, to represent us in an unlawful detainer case we had with our landlord for our commercial warehouse. Nathaniel went above and beyond which resulted in a victorious outcome. He made sure our case was "bulletproof" by his brilliant research and gave u...s the confidence to take this case to the end as opposed to settling on our landlord's terms. In addition, Nathaniel is very honest and ethical which is rare based on our experiences from other attorneys. This was apparent in the opposing counsel dragging on this case when it was so lop sided in our favor. Any average attorney would've gathered that from the trial brief and letters Nathaniel had meticulously put together. Instead, the plaintiff's attorney ill advised his client to accrue more billable hours. We cannot thank Nathaniel enough for helping us alleviate the stress and giving us the assurance to conduct our business. Should any future issues arise Nathaniel and the BrownMcClain team will be representing us.

Better than most

My wife and I needed a legal representation against a retaliatory Unlawful Detainer action. We spoke with several attorneys and Mr. Brown offered to take his time to meet with us to review our files and evidence at no cost to determine how he could help. We immediately recognized that he was passio...nate about the Law. His fees were much lower than others we interviewed on the phone, but he was willing to fight for our Tenant rights. After taking on our case, we noticed he spent lots of time to prepare for our case and went beyond what he needed to do, I feel. I get the impression that is how he is with every one of his cases. Looking at his education background of graduating with "Summa Cum Laude in the top one percent of his class with a 4.0 GPA", he is very knowledgeable more than some lawyers we dealt with. I understand he does not have years of experience as of this review, however his passion makes up for the years of experience that lacks passion for justice. My wife and I highly recommend Mr. Brown.
