I have a “soft tissue” injury case from a car accident 3.5 years ago. Unfortunately, my case ended up going to trial.
I originally hired Lawrence Lallande, who was unavailable to represent me due to vacation plans he did not want to change, so he hired Minh Nguyen to represent my case at trial, assisted by Karina Lallande (Lawrence’s daughter, Lallande Law).
The total award/judgment was $300,452.
I received 8% of the total award.
Lallande Law and Law offices of Minh T. Nguyen spent over $178k on my case, (including an 11k hotel bill at a “boutique hotel”).
Their profit was over $97k (4 times as much as I received--not including the exorbitant amount they spent on trial costs, hotels, and dinners).
The Honorable Judge Thomas W. Wills made the following statement during trial:
“I have not seen behavior like the repeated transgressions of the Plaintiff’s counsel in this case in nearly 40 years in this business.”
Overall, in addition to the terrible financial outcome in my case (I didn’t even come close to recouping my lost wages from time off work for medical treatment), I did not have a good experience, or feel secure with either Minh or Karina. I never knew what to expect and felt severely under-communicated with. Prior to going on the stand for hours over 2 days, I had received hardly any instruction or prep from my attorneys and felt as though I was thrown to the wolves.
Overall, I did not have a good experience. I trusted that they knew what they were doing—assuming that if we won, the proverbial "proof would be in the pudding.” As it turned out, the pudding was rancid—despite “winning” the trial. I would STRONGLY recommend to avoid both Minh Nguyen Law and Lallande Law.

A few days after graduating from college, I got into a collision with an 18-wheeler. Any happiness I had over my recent accomplishment faded very quickly. I was very worried that the accident would have a negative impact on my driving record as well as on my insurance costs.
I contacted about 5 different lawyers (after finding their information on Avvo). Like clockwork, I was turned down by each one. A few talked to me and promised a response, but ended up never getting back to me. Many messages and voicemails went unanswered. The last one actually spent a good five minutes berating me because he felt I had a weak case. I later found out (again through reading Avvo reviews) that he had disciplinary flags in his record due to behavioral issues with some of his past clients.
After more time on the website, I finally came across Minh’s law firm’s profile. I called him, explained the basics, he asked me a few questions, and he agreed to meet. We talked through the details of my case and the exchange was cordial and easy. Minh reassured me that his office would take care of everything.
That is exactly what I wanted to hear- I was preparing for the GRE (at the time) and putting together my applications for graduate school. A prolonged legal case is the last thing I wanted to have occupy my thoughts and energies. As a student, I am always short of funds and simply cannot pay the high hourly legal fees many lawyers require. Minh saw this, in addition to, the fact that the much larger trucking corporation’s insurance company would screw me over if the matter was left uncontested.
The case was favorably settled and I am more than happy with the way things turned out. Minh and the rest of his team, especially attorney Belinda Theam, were fantastic. They responded to my emails and phone calls, are extremely competent at what they do, and always kept me up-to-date with what they needed from me (if anything), what stage the case was at, and so on and so forth.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Law Office’s of Minh T. Nguyen.

Minh brought the perfect amount of professional knowledge, savvy and discernment to my PI case which ended up yielding me the full amount of benefits from the opposing Insurance Company in a conclusion that settled OUTSIDE of court. It was such a relief when he joined forces with my other attorney to help bring justice to this case where my back was severely injured from a car accident. Very often through the process of being deposed and being interviewed by opposing insurance companies "doctors" I felt like a piece of meat, an inanimate object who's goal was to prove me wrong and a liar about the injuries that the MRI proved to be valid and the undermine the amount of pain and suffering I experienced as a result of the car accident where I was not at fault. It was a very difficult time and one where as a human being I experienced sadness, fear, anxiety, frustration and hurt... Minh was VERY sympathetic and empathetic towards all that I was undergoing as a result of this horrible process called "A Personal Injury Case". Minh not only brought a great sense of care and humanity to an otherwise cold and calculated system, he also had the wherewithal to prove my case as one of merit and justified in receiving the full compensation appropriate to the injuries incurred, lost income and affected livelihood. Thank you Minh! I will refer you to anyone whom needs an honest, compassionate and effective lawyer. Gratefully, Danielle

Relationship: Worked together on matter
When I think of a "passionate" lawyer, Minh in the first person who comes to mind. His dedication to his cases and clients is unparalleled. In fact, I aspire to be as dedicated as Minh in my career. A great lawyer and a good friend, I would recommend Minh to anyone looking for an attorney.
