terrible

was arrested for dui in newport beach in June 2017. facing a year suspension with a bac of .08 I hired scott in october 2017 after firing Andrew Delahunt who was insisting on me pleading guilty. scott told me initially the DA was willing to give me a wet reckless. he then informed me to go to A...A meetings, do community service & get references from people who know me personally, which i did. I then show up at my next hearing. what Scott failed to tell me was these documents had to be on a specific form, which he obviously knew. he was horrible, rude and also affordable, he cost less than andrew delahunt actually! Scott didn’t do his Job, showed up hours late to court, & he cut corners, instead of helping me. He gave me inaccurate information. & he dragged out the case for almost a year. he didn’t respect me, he belittled me, he was spiteful and I had to plead with him & also threaten him that I was going to call the bar association to report him for lawyers misconduct. he was terrible. fighting a dui case was stressful enough but on top of it all i had to deal with two lawyers that both suck! Scott then had the nerve to say the day i plead guilty. (when we get this expunged) implying i was going to hang onto him. if i had plead guilty a week after this happened it would have been over by the time i had actually plead guilty. he made my case more complicated entirely! Scott sucks! never hire scott dehaan or andrew delahunt! YOU WERE both WORKING FOR ME!!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
