This is really *THE* Probate Guy you need to have on speed dial! We were unprepared for an unexpected death of my father in law. After the difficulty coordinating plans and working with a mortuary totally overwhelmed from covid we were left with a new daunting task... his messy and confusing estate. ... I'm kicking myself for not reaching out sooner. Robert really cares about people and you can tell loves what he does -- most of all he's GREAT at what he does! He's upfront and 100% transparent with what's practical and is willing to point you in a different direction if you need to be. I really hope this review helps anyone who was in my shoes. It was awful while grieving to have all that stress not knowing what we should do or who we should talk to over my father in law's estate. So, you're looking for a Probate Guy. I'm here to tell you Robert Cohen is your man! He was the answer to my prayers...literally! Dealing with probate at such an emotional time is not easy. If you're like me, you don't know much about the process. I found him on line & read his reviews. I called & he... took a lot of time answering & explaining. The time he spent, & at no charge, was impressive. He has the knowledge & experience. His confidence is comforting. He keeps you informed & gets the job done. He admits he "pushy" but I see him as aggressive. That's the kind of attorney you want. He doesn't waste time or money. You can trust him. He will even listen when you find yourself emotional. That's really something when you realize he deals with this all the time. He cares, but his goal is to complete your case. He knows that will bring you some peace. Highly recommend.

I contacted Robert Cohen in regard to the need to take my mother's estate into probate. I am currently joint holder on her accounts and will inherit all the assets on her death. My doubt was about the most effective way to share the estate with my siblings, who are not joint holders. Other attorneys... I contacted told me that probate was the only way to go and wanted me to hire them for the work. Robert was the only one who truthfully told me that probate was not necessary. He referred to me a tax accountant who will handle the paperwork for a minimal fee. Instead of going for the fee Robert gave me the correct answer, saving me and my siblings thousands of dollars.

On the passing of my son one year ago, I started looking for a probate attorney. And I found Mr. Cohen, Esquire on the Nolo Publishing website. I wrote my Case Review (or (Case Ovrview) and post it to Nolo 's website and request to meet any of the awyers I named to meet. Mr. Cohen responded and a...ssured to help me. I only met him three times for the course of probate which took way more than a year. We did most of the proceedings by phone and emails that suited me just great. The first time I went to his office to drop off my docements I did not see him. He told me that I could have just mailed it. The second time I was in his ofice for signing some probate papers. He told me that we could do it by mails and that will a little longer time. Actually I want see him in person. Yes this time I met him. My impression is he is a good mucle man, good nature, smiling and very assuring. The third time I see him for final signatue to close son's probate case. And of course It was time I pay him. His fee and charges are so resonable all according to what was statutory set. I am so thankful to see him the third time. This third time was a relief; the firt two times I was in anxiety. Something extra I have to mention that he even did me a favor to help to write an amendment to my Living Trust without a fee.

Robert was my first experience with a lawyer ever. It was a complicated case with no will and a caregiver trying to take everything. I lived out state and didn't know who to use for what. I had to trust Robert to handle it all and he did. I sometimes hesitated when he used people he knew for th...ings like the realtor, bank, accountant, etc but the realtor was great and I had no problems with the bank or accountant he used. He was good at answering any questions I had and instructed me on what to do. His assistant , Jenna was very nice and helpful too. He didn't take any money upfront and even helped with some costs in the beginning. He likes to manage it all and though I sometimes felt I didn't have a say I was glad to have him fighting for me.
