About me

As a Board Certified Bankruptcy Specialist and a Commissioner on the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization, I understand the subtleties of bankruptcy law and can help you avoid unnecessarily losing your assets. Whether you are struggling with personal debt or own a business that is experiencing financial troubles, you can rely on my skill and expertise to guide you through your Chapter 7, 11, or 13 bankruptcy. I am extremely detail-oriented and thorough. I emphasize pre-petition planning as a way of avoiding post-petition problems. I stand up for your rights against debt collectors and hold creditors accountable for their actions when they violate the law. Most importantly, I care about my clients as human beings, and tailor my services to their needs: I do not use a cookie cutter approach to my practice.

I am a former math professor and can clearly explain complex ideas to people without a technical background. I have developed a great deal of patience, and am willing to take the time necessary to ensure my clients understand the relevant bankruptcy law and what I am doing for them.

I lecture periodically on bankruptcy. Recent topics have included Chapter 13 bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, bankruptcy and family law, and bankruptcy related issues in real estate.
