Colleen Anne Barberis

Torrance child custody attorney Colleen Barberis is a senior litigator and managing partner of the law firm her mother founded in 1997. She joined the firm immediately after her admission to the California state bar. Prior to her admission Colleen worked as an appellate clerk for the Los Angeles County Counsel.  

Colleen and Patricia have practiced family exclsusively and they are a recognized mother/daughter law firm that zealously and honestly represent their clients interests.  Colleen and Patricia maintain close communication with their clients to assist them through this difficult time in their lives. 

Colleen is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, with which she is a certified minors counsel. She is also a member of the Family Law Section and South Bay Womens' Lawyers Section of the South Bay Bar Association as well as the Long Beach Bar Association.  She participated in a mock trial through the South Bay Bar Association and through Rivera Lutheran School, and she spoke in a panel for Torrance High School Law Day. 

Colleen has served the family law courts as minor's counsel, a volunteer mediator and assisted local schools in the preparation of mock trial programs. Colleen is known and highly regarded for her mediation and litigation skills in high conflict, complex divorce and custody cases.
