I needed an estate/wills/trust attorney, and fortunately for me two friends had used Mr. Gellerman and highly recommended him to me. I've given him five stars in all categories because he was great -- knowledgable, experienced, and responsive. I think his years of practice have really honed his peo...ple skills in addition to his legal expertise, because he helped us combine what we wanted emotionally with what would work best for us practically and legally. Peter Gellerman is a probate attorney. Here are the facts: $400/hr, and this adds up very, very quickly. Expect a bill in the 5 digits range. He is very meticulous and I believe does his job well, but certain things outside of probate law and estate planning he is less knowledgeable about. H...e does not like to discuss fees and he does not provide estimates. I have asked multiple times for a ballpark number which he never provided. Eventually, after pushing for an answer, he said I would "be F*CKED without him". Expect this type of relationship once you have spent a lot of money and decided that it is too much. I do not expect to be treated this way after I have spent a small fortune with someone. So, even though he may be the most knowledgeable about my case and situation, I have decided to go with someone else.
