This attorney was the worst attorney I ever worked with. She did not talk to me. When i would contact her she didn't return my calls, emails and text messages. She ignored me and when we would go to court she would not know what to say top the court on behalf of me because she never communicated. I ...asked her for 8 months to file a motion for me. Then when she did her credit card was declined and I had to pay for it. She had no interest in my case and did not help me in any way. She pretends that she cares. She doesn't care. All of the other reviewers are wrong about her. She doesn't work or didn't for you. Stay away from her.

I consulted with several attorneys in LA, probably 8 of them. I did the 1 hour free consult with each and also bugged them with questions via email. Somewhere in the middle of that list I had a consult with Layla and I knew right away she was the one to help me through this messy divorce that involv...es young children and a difficult spouse. I am well aware lawyers are not supposed to be your therapist and I can't afford to use them in that way, but Layla is someone who listens to all of the drama and long winded explanations I give and long rambling emails I send and she never makes me feel bad about it, always listens and doesn't nail me with insane bills or extra fees for my sometimes excessive explanations. Some laywers I experienced would cut me off in mid sentence, seem disinterested in the story and the details and some seemed to gloss over all the issues I felt were important in convieying. Layla in contrast is very understanding of the difficult and emotional process of divorce. She's a real person and allows for all of the emotional confusion that divorce, especially involving children stirs up. She's very knowledgable of the law, smart and aggressive, without being detrimental to the integrity of your situation when the moment calls for it. Layla's also very good at taking your goals for the divorce, your opinions, and your fears and making sure each move that is made is within your comfort zone without sacrificing the end goal. I've always found her to be available for communication via text, email and phone calls. Her prices are very fair and she's also been very sensitive to my financial situation. In the worst of times, she's really been someone I can rely on and completely trust with our case.

I retained Layla to handle my dissolution and am so very lucky that i did. Divorce is an unpleasant process at best but Layla was the consummate professional and guided me with both legal precision and humanity.
