*IMPORTANT* “RUN AWAY FROM THIS MAN” Lately, we’ve been going through all the things my former attorneys did without my knowledge. Under the law, when Tractor Supply sends something regarding my case, it goes to my attorney first, but he is required to share it with me before responding. The same a...pplies in reverse. Unfortunately, some attorneys take matters into their own hands, and the courts and State Bar have been cracking down on that behavior. Looking back, asking my racquetball friend for a referral to a personal injury attorney was probably the biggest mistake I’ve made. When I mentioned the situation, he immediately pushed an attorney he claimed was perfect for taking on Tractor Supply. The ironic part is that I never wanted a lawsuit. Tractor Supply admitted fault, it was documented in the police report, and they even contacted me about getting an estimate to repair my vehicle. Had things stayed that simple, my car would have been fixed, I’d still be playing racquetball, and life would have gone on as usual. Everything changed when my MRI revealed that I needed a total knee replacement. That’s when the problems started. The deeper we dug, the more unethical conduct and questionable strategies came to light. I eventually had to fire my attorney, and because of the position he put me in, we’ve had to unravel years of mistakes and maneuvering. On a different note, I enjoy watching your videos and seeing your company grow. It reminds me of when I was building my own business and bringing in interns from community colleges, state universities, and UC schools. Those interns became some of my best ambassadors because they talked about their experience, and before long, people were lining up to work with us. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure your company is built on a solid foundation from day one. Have your legal, accounting, HR, compliance, training manuals, and onboarding processes in place. Most people never expect problems until they happen, but a strong structure protects both you and your business. There are a lot of good people in the world, but unfortunately, there are some bad ones too.

I very rarely leave negative reviews, but after what we experienced with Ellis Robin, I believe prospective clients deserve to understand the risks of placing their trust in this “advocate.” He was referred to us by a local law firm that engages in referrals as part of their business. We should have ...been able to trust Robin. We absolutely should not have, and neither should you. This is not simply a matter of dissatisfaction with the outcome of a case. Litigation is unpredictable. This is about a case like a “G6 waiting on the tarmac for take-off, but being blown up before it even gets to take flight.” That is a direct quote from another attorney about what Ellis Robin did. What Mr. Robin provided was a purposeful lack of communication, transparency, and fiduciary responsibility. In hindsight, we thought he was just a very busy man but that he would surely take the time to meet and confer with us substantively once there was movement in court proceedings. After having met with several reputable attorneys after having retained Robin, the consensus among MANY other attorneys as to what he did—after we were able to recreate the files which he intentionally obscured to hide his actions—is very troubling. His “missteps” have caused a great deal of damage on top of the original catastrophic physical damage caused by the negligence of a national box store—physical damage that has changed a life. And here is the kicker: that store knew about the danger before the accident at the center of this post and did nothing to prevent this accident and still has done NOTHING to prevent it from happening again. It has occurred again with others at least twice to our knowledge. Litigation is often the only way to force change that protects the public in the absence of a moral center to protect us. When legal recourse is denied, difficult to obtain, or thwarted subservient to an attorney’s own personal agenda like it was in this case, it indicates a bigger systemic problem. Don't choose a bad attorney. There is no one to help you if you do. We assume institutions like the California Bar Association exist to protect the public, but sadly, they are more about protecting the attorneys.

did not care for my questions and monthly calls to see what status was,..got annoyed so dismissed me within a week's time of deadline to file suit; Was disrespectful,unorganized and after several years of going no where, let me go w/ in a week of being able to sue and find a new rep; swore and yelle...d at me unprofessionally at a hearing, left file in disarray. I believe takes on trillions of jobs and attends to none in a timely professional manner. Would go months with no updates then get annoyed at inquiries...forget this one
