Chelsea M. Norris is a 2013 graduate of the Juris Doctorate program at UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles, California. During her tenure at UCLA, Ms. Norris served as Submissions Editor for the UCLA Women’s Law Journal and Article Selection Editor for the Dukeminier Awards Journal of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law. Throughout law school, Ms. Norris also found time to mentor underprivileged high school students in the Los Angeles area through Minds Matter.

Ms. Norris received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Davis with a double major in International Relations and Women & Gender Studies. Ms. Norris graduated with Honors in both majors and an Outstanding Performance Award. Ms. Norris was also a member of the Integrated Studies Honors Program and a recipient of the Regents Scholarship, United Technologies Scholarship, and Dean’s List. Ms. Norris studied politics, Hindi, and women’s rights in India for six months during college at the University of Hyderabad in Hyderabad, India and the Landour Language School in Mussoorie, India. In college, Ms. Norris volunteered at the State Capital in Sacramento.

For the last 12 years, Ms. Norris’ legal practice has been strictly focused on the issues of family law litigation and mediation, including divorce, child custody and visitation, spousal support, child support, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence, and judgment enforcement. 48 former clients enthusiastically rate Ms. Norris 5 out of 5 stars on Avvo. Additionally, Super Lawyers Magazine provided Ms. Norris with the designation of “Rising Star” for each year from 2018-2026. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state. This selection is based off of an evaluation of 12 indicators including peer recognition and professional achievement in legal practice. As one of the few attorneys to garner the distinction of Rising Star, Ms. Norris has earned the respect of peers as one of the top-rated attorneys in the nation.

During all three years of law school, Ms. Norris volunteered with the Los Angeles County Bar Association Domestic Violence Project, drafting hundreds of declarations for victims of domestic violence seeking Temporary Restraining Orders on an emergency basis. Now as an attorney, Ms. Norris continues her volunteer work and offers pro bono legal representation of domestic violence victims.

Ms. Norris’ hobbies include yoga, Muay Thai, paleo cooking, wilderness backpacking and international travel.
