I did not want to get divorced. Chelsea listened to my situation, understood what I was facing, and recommended what she believed would be best for my well-being, including my financial future. She was absolutely right. Had I not followed her advice, I would be in a precarious situation today. This was a first time experience with me being on this side of the law, THE RESPONDENT, because in my profession, I am usually the playing the role of the good guy and the defense is my dreaded opponent. That being said, there are very few attorneys who I feel that I can trust. I tried to endeavor ...this insurmountable task (divorce) on my own, both to save costs and to deny to myself I needed help. The Pasadena Courthouse Help Center was my best friend and also the place I hated seeing. I got to the point where I lost my footing, sucked up my pride and looked for help. I made my own attempts at consulting with a few Family Law attorneys, but most left me with negative feelings. I was referred to Chelsea by a friend/coworker. I was hesitant at first, but I made a call nonetheless. Just within our first conversation, I felt like I made a friend. My divorce endured during this current pandemic and I never really met with Chelsea in person, so most of our work together was via email and phone. When all was said and done and the settlement was written, I chose to meet with her in person to enjoy a casual conversation over lunch, to show her pictures of my family, and to let her know how much I appreciated her assistance. My family is doing well now, and I certainly feel that I owe a lot of credit to Chelsea Norris for that.
