Chelsea Marlene Norris

I would give Chelsea Norris 0 stars if that were an option. Ms. Norris was my second attorney on my divorce case because I was seeking a strong custody lawyer and she was suggested to me as a custody attorney. I have nothing positive to say and deeply regret using her. She charged a lot of money for ...absolutely no benefit, I literally would have gotten the same result if I had represented myself. I say that confidently as I am now three years post divorce and have represented myself at numerous hearings over the years. Ladies dealing with domestic abuse situations in particular do not use this attorney. My ex was abusive. I asked for some basic things in my custody agreement such as doing custody exchanges at a public place. Ms. Chelsea Norris scoffed and asked if that was really necessary stating I would find it to be an inconvenience down the road. Three years later, my ex is still abusive and I am so grateful I insisted on adding this language despite her "advice" not to. I was the primary supporter financially of our family and asked Chelsea Norris to fight on my behalf to reduce my alimony obligation based on the fact that our marriage did not contribute to my ex's inability to support himself. Chelsea Norris said there was nothing she could do about alimony. Three years later, I've had three different attorneys tell me I should have fought the alimony originally and that it's harder to change later. I am currently going back to court to get it reduced. Chelsea Norris made no effort on the custody agreement. she simply wrote into the agreement the items I provided to him. I am regularly finding errors which has caused a lot of difficulty in coordinating visitation exchanges. For the amount of money I paid her, and because she has marketed herself as a custody attorney, I would have expected the custody agreement to be air tight. Ms. Chelsea Norris was my second lawyer so my paperwork had already been filed, however, her office insisted on refiling. I found numerous errors they needed to correct. I was charged a lot for them to do something i had never asked and for them to do it incorrectly. Every step of the way, the work Ms. Norris and her office provided was incorrect, unhelpful, and cost a ridiculous amount. I can not strongly enough urge people, especially women, to not use Chelsea Norris.

Chelsea has helped me SO much. She came on to my case after my initial divorce proceedings, and was a very compassionate listener. She helped me legally in MANY ways. She was able to read the various judges whom oversaw our case and was helpful on how to tailor our approach in communication with each... judge. She was able to steer my case onto a victorious custody situation which really benefitted my kids. During an overwhelming and stressful situation, Chelsea made the process super easy to understand and maneuver.

The office of my original divorce attorney referred me to Chelsea when I felt I had to revisit my custody agreement. I was a little nervous at first, feeling like I needed to start over; however, something about Chelsea's tone and demeanor immediately let me know that I was in good hands. Chelsea is ...extremely knowledgeable, and empathetic, answered my questions, gave me advice, was patient, and even offered some tough love to get through the issue at the time. While my original attorney was good, working with Chelsea made me wish that I would have worked with her from the very beginning. I firmly believe my divorce agreement could have had a totally different outcome. I have since recommended Chelsea several times. Chelsea makes you feel like you truly have someone in your corner who genuinely has your back and is working in the best interest of you and your child. She is fair in cost and does not take advantage of charging for her services. She will let you know what you can do on your own so you don't have to pay, while still guiding you to make sure it gets done right. Chelsea is transparent with her availability and responds almost immediately. If you want a true warrior in your corner, Chelsea is the attorney you need to call. No one will fight harder for you.

I hired two other attorneys previously and did not have great success with resolving my custody issues. Chelsea was such a blessing. She is very calm and knows how to be supportive emotionally through tough custody battles and provides sound advice. She is very focused on the best interest of the chi...ld and very level headed. She always sent timely bills and gave me plenty of time to with payment plans available. I've already recommended her to friends. I'm posting anonymously because Chelsea helped me obtain a restraining order and I like to keep my details private.

From the beginning of my case, Ms. Norris was very professional. she was amazingly attentive, and always within reach for questions. My custody case was very difficult to say the least. Ms. Norris addressed all my issues and argued my case in one of the most professional was I've ever seen. She did w...onders for me that I honestly didn't expect. Thank you for everything. AA++++++
