Decio Rangel, Jr. worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles County for nine years. During his tenure at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office (LADA), he had the opportunity to work in two prestigious divisions. First, for five years, he worked in the Victim Impact Program (VIP), specializing in crimes involving sexual assault and family violence. Subsequently, he was given the opportunity to become a part of the Justice System Integrity Division (JSID), an elite and high profile trial unit. JSID is part of the Bureau of Fraud & Corruption and is responsible for the prosecution of public officials including police officers, judges and Lawyers. This LADA unit works directly with Internal Affairs for Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department and the State Bar of California.
Decio Rangel has appeared on Good Morning America and acted as an expert for ABC News. He is in demand as an expert commentator for national publications including US Weekly and other local publications. He is a member of the Criminal Law Executive Committee of the California State Bar where he speaks at legal seminars and is an editor of the Criminal Law Journal.
