Dissappointed

What can i say about John Lazor.....I retained this attorney in 2025 for post-judgment family law proceedings after a substitution of counsel. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and became one of the most frustrating legal experiences I have had during years of family court liti...gation. From the beginning, I experienced repeated communication issues and significant disorganization. Opposing counsel sent correspondence regarding potential ex parte proceedings, and despite repeated assurances that a response would be sent, there were delays and missed follow-ups that caused unnecessary stress and concern about court compliance and deadlines. As the matter progressed, I frequently found myself having to repeatedly explain basic settlement terms, court orders, financial figures, and timelines because important facts were often misunderstood or incorrectly communicated. On multiple occasions, draft correspondence and filings contained inaccurate numbers or dates that I had to correct myself before they were sent out. I spent substantial time helping organize facts, timelines, supporting documents, and settlement terms because I did not feel the case materials were being properly managed. During courthouse negotiations, important settlement details had to be repeatedly clarified, which significantly reduced my confidence in the representation. I also had serious concerns regarding billing practices. In my opinion, many of the charges appeared excessive for the amount and quality of work performed, particularly repeated calls, revisions, administrative tasks billed at attorney rates, and extensive drafting time for relatively straightforward documents. I do not leave reviews lightly, especially regarding legal professionals, but based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this attorney for complex family law matters requiring strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
