I hired Rubenstein for a domestic violence case and 2 days before the preliminary trial he withdrew from the case because I still owed him a portion of the money for his retainer. For weeks prior he ignored my calls and texts and did not provide proper counsel and the money I have paid him so far is... not being returned to me. I was told if the judge wouldn’t let him off the case that he would have his incompetent assistant represent me in trial. Not very professional in my opinion.
