A Los Angeles native, Emily Rubenstein is both a fierce advocate and a calming spirit. Emily thrives on creating solutions for clients so they can move forward and achieve financial and emotional stability in their lives.
Throughout her career, Emily has worked with a vast array of clients, from celebrities and social media influencers to low income survivors of domestic violence.
Emily has broad experience both settling and litigating family and divorce cases, whether amicable or contentious. She works with appraisers, forensic accountants, and other financial experts to identify, characterize, and protect assets and income. Emily also has extensive experience settling and litigating child custody and visitation disputes, including use of private custody evaluations, private co-parenting counselors, parenting plan assessments, and professionally supervised visitations.
Prior to creating the Law Office of Emily E. Rubenstein, Emily handled family and divorce matters at a boutique family law firm located in Brentwood. In 2012, she served as a family law judicial extern for the Honorable Monica F. Wiley of the San Francisco Superior Court.
Emily was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2014. In 2016, she served as Co-President of the LGBT Bar Association of Los Angeles.
Emily attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was an award-winning law student. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from The Ohio State University.
In her spare time, Emily is an avid reader, sports fan, and explorer of California’s beautiful mountains and coast.
