I am a landlord having issues with a tenant who recently moved out. I was looking online for some legal advice and had a hard time finding information that was helpful to a landlord. My tenant was asked to move out and given a written 30 day notice. The tenant never responded to the 30 day notice but... partially vacated the property. At the end of the month, in which the tenant had paid up until, her belongings in her room were removed but still had property in the garage. Nicole gave me excellent legal advice on what to do. The tenant had never returned the key and is now refusing to return the key stating it is her property. In California the laws protect tenants but Nicole has shown me that there are laws to protect the landlords as well.
