Before I relate the excellent legal representation in a Civil/DV matter I was provided by Mr. Ellis, I think it is important that I first say that aside from the legal issues, I have not met an attorney who so genuinely listened and understood my predicament. As if it was he himself who was facing th...e legal challenges I presented to him, with all the emergency and dire consequences at his door. The otherside had an attorney. I thought I could represent myself, my case facts and rights were clear cut, then I found myself in front of a judge who clearly allowed WIDE discretion to the oppossing counsel, I was about to get steam rolled not by the facts but by legal precedures. I was granted a 2 day continuance by the judge, barely. Mr. Ellis despite having been hired with only 2 days time to prepare for my case, successfully represented me in court and rescued me from my lack of knowledge about how the system and the the courts can be not the easyest of places to navigate by oneself. Most people instinctively know when an attorney is personally invested in their client, I knew that within the first 10 minutes of meeting Mr. Ellis. I was recommended by a friend of mine to Ryan earlier this year. I set up a consultation, discussed my business issues with him, and got a quote. He was very friendly, expressed his knowledge about my issues, and really knew what he was talking about. The meeting was great and i didnt feel pressured ...at all, like some of the other attorneys I visited with. Aer meeting with him, I did some research, called around, and found that he was a reputable attorney and respected by his colleagues. I decided to hire Mr. Ellis. He walked. Me through the retainer agreement, took all of the documents I had with me and made copies, and asked me a few other questions regarding issues he brought up (that I didn't even I know I needed to talk about). He told me he would begin immediately and I left the office with a smile on my face. I received an email from Mr. Ellis the next day with a copy of a letter he sent to the people who owed me money. Later that week, I got a call from Mr. Ellis to notify me that my case was settled and and I could either pick up the money I was owed or he could mail a check to me. I have been trying to collect this money owed to me for so long, and it took Ryan around a week. He was always very professional and courteous to me, carried out all of his promises. If any of you out there are looking for an attorney, I highly recommend Mr. Ryan Ellis. He is very knowledgeable, and if I ever need another attorney, I will absolutely be hiring Mr. Ellis again.
