Peter Adam Lauzon

More than five stars if it were an option! Peter and his amazing team including Talia, Nathalie and Cierra are the best!! They gave me quality time back with my child, peace of mind, and the ability to have complete trust in my attorney's skill, calendaring, approach, advice and more. I had used four... lower quality attorneys before and even at one point represented myself with negative to disastrous results. His approach is thoughtful, compassionate and measured. I was able to work as close to uninterrupted as possible while a court date loomed and even settled out of court, something that had never ever happened before in over a decade of this matter. WOW!! I know it sounds silly, but in past matters I've also had to calculate all dates and deadlines because my attorneys would lapse and miss dates to submit responses which can be a huge issue because it takes away my side of the story and my voice. Peter's team was on top of it and submitted early and never even cut anything close. Relief! This mattered a lot to me! Peter is a different kind of attorney who works diligently, is humble, makes things easy on the client, and gets things done. Thankful for all he and his team do and highly recommended.

Peter has been a huge part of my life the past two years. I didn't want to write a quick, hasty review about how great I think he and his associates are, but rather a well, thought out ode to what he has done for me and my newfound life. A little over two years ago, I found out my husband of 13 y...ears was cheating on me via social media. I won't share the dark background about the things I found out about my now ex-husband leading up to me filing, but I will say that Peter was right there with me along the way. Peter and I were connected through a friend of mine after my first lawyer was dragging his feet, not pulling through, and blowing a lot of hot air my way. This friend was on the opposite side of Peter less than a year prior during his own divorce, Peter was my friends ex-wife's lawyer -- to me, that speaks VOLUMES when the very lawyer my friend was up against in court, he is now recommending I hire. And so my journey with Peter began. Upon our first meeting, I was hands down convinced Peter was the right choice as my divorce lawyer. I love Peter because he's very point-blank and he's a number cruncher. He laid it all out on the table as to what I'm entitled to and what I'm not, unlike my previous lawyer who blew smoke up my rear end promising me the world, and then some. Through no fault of my own, I was thrown into this situation where divorce was the only option for me, so its a VERY stressful, scary, and confusing time, especially when you don't expect it. Having an honest, no BS lawyer to guide me through was what I needed, and what I appreciate from people in general. I'm not the kind of person who needs or wants a hand holder, but Peter's empathy and support were always right there. California divorce law is pretty cut and dry: no-fault (meaning adultery is not taken into account) and all community property gets split down the middle. I do not have children, thank goodness, but there were major misappropriations in our marital funds. When you never suspect divorce will happen to you, this is all very overwhelming and terrifying, but I learned a lot along the way -- enough to write a book! Knowing what I was entitled to, Peter held his ground and got me a settlement (without having to go to court) that worked for me as I have special circumstances in that my job is home-based. While every situation and divorce is different, as well as all the "advice" from people you get along the way, I can honestly say that Peter was a beacon of light in many ways in a very dark time for me. After experiencing the first lawyer I hired who promised it all, then being connected with Peter, I have seen both sides of family law, and I would not hesitate for a second recommending Peter to anyone who finds themselves in need of a divorce or family lawyer. Peter and his staff have been nothing but a God-send to me, all of them very personable, warm, caring, and most of all, AVAILABLE, all the while keeping you on track with what to expect and explaining how things happen. I can't thank you enough Peter -- and your staff too! I endured the worst experience of my life with your guidance. Peter Lauzon is an absolutely superb attorney! I was worrying about an interstate custody enforcement matter regarding my multiply disabled child. Peter was very knowledgeable, understanding, and gracious with his time and his expertise, helping put my mind at ease and helping me to know that with hi...s simple advice that everything was going to be OK. He walked me through what I needed to do to have the upper hand and for my child to be safe and where he belongs. He is so specialized in the exact type of thing we were facing, that I knew his predictions and advice would reflect exactly what was going to happen and that there wouldn’t be any surprises. And he was right about everything!! Peter was to the point, honest, direct, and made it known that he was there to preserve my child's rights. A great feeling!! There are not enough good things to say about Peter after all he did for our family!!

My experience with Mr. Lauzon was completely unbelievable. He got many of the facts wrong, did the opposite in court of what I wanted and discussed with him. Shocking actually.....if I followed his advice and did what he wanted I would have lost custody of my child. I followed my gut instinct and ...went AGAINST what Mr. Lauzon advised and I got a pretty good order. I wish I would have went against his advice from the beginning, I would have been in a better position for custody...... He also wanted me to negotiate guideline child support!! what, why, it is guideline, he wanted me to take almost $1,000 less than guideline!!!. He cost me money in court via attorney's fees and child support because he didn't have the facts straight, the judge was going with a higher number then Mr. Lauzon jumps in and lowers the amount (wtf!!!) Thank god I didn't negotiate as he advised me to with child support, otherwise I would have been out much more than he managed to in court. Oh, he will charge you for items before you even retain him!!! Read the retainer agreement.....unbelievable...the list goes on.....suppose to be a custody expert in move aways..... not convinced. His staff was good and very attentive, he thinks he is better than he actually is. There are better attorneys out there, with more compassion as well. He doesn't care and it shows.
