Peter Adam Lauzon

Lauzon Paluch has been nothing short of amazing. I reached out to them on a Sunday, while overseas and in great distress. Early that same Sunday morning I received communication back while Mr. Lauzon was on his way (at the airport even) to a two-week vacation abroad. This set the tone for the attenti...on and efforts put forth on my cases that included quashing false fillings by my ex as well as the most critical, returning my children after international child abduction. In total, Peter and his firm, Lauzon Paluch, won all five rulings in my favor and were always keeping me updated of the status and next steps. Before I get into the reasons why, I just want start by saying that if I could give Peter and his staff a 7 star rating, I would. I *highly* recommend them. In fact, I *have* recommended them to an acquaintance and that person was also extremely impressed. Now, to the reasons why. Upon first ...meeting Peter I was struck by just how forthright his manner was. My case was, shall we say, somewhat complex. There was going to be some contention over a non-trivial amount of money. Peter took the time to talk me through the pros and cons of my side of the case and let me know where I stood. He didn't inflate my chances of success just to get business. He went in to detail on where my case was strong and the possible weaknesses. After talking for about 1 hour, I hired Peter. Peter and his staff are always available, should you need them. My divorce took about a year and whenever I reached out, I don't think I ever had to wait more than a few hours to be contacted. This was exactly the kind of security blanket I needed while going through this. Their constant availability kept me from conjuring up horrible scenarios in my head. Instead, they were there with the facts and constant guidance. Peter always took the time to explain things and, most importantly for me, to tell me to remain calm. Throughout the entire process he was a beacon of rationality and reason. It was obvious to me that my ex-wife's attorney was trying his best to pad his fees and drag his feet. The longer this took and the more contentious he could be, the more money he would make and, since I was paying his legal fees, this was fine with my ex-wife. You will *never* feel this from Peter. In fact, it's exactly the opposite. I always felt that Peter went out of his way to do things in a way that would be cost effective for me. He would always give me the upside and downside, both emotionally and monetarily, for a certain decision. That made it much easier for me to decide where to push a point and where to yield. While I eventually settled out of court and managed to avoid going to trial, there were a number of depositions involved. I was impressed with Peter's intelligence and style during these. He was tremendously prepared and on point and it was very, very clear that I was in good hands. If I didn't know better, I would feel that I was the only case that Peter was handling. One of the unfortunate things that occurred was that my ex-wife and her lawyer kept stalling any settlement until very, very close to the trial date. As such, Peter and his associates had to put together a complete trial brief for that trial. As I said, we eventually settled, but I was tremendously impressed with the care, detail and understanding that was put into that brief. Had we gone to trial, I would have felt very comfortable that we were on good footing because of that document. The bottom line here is that I *always* felt like I was in good hands and that Peter and his staff had *MY* best interest in mind. They were there for me and to make sure that the outcome was a positive for me as possible. This review couldn't be complete without mentioning Peter's staff. This divorce was a major life event for me but, truly, this is just job for them. They *NEVER* make you feel that way, though. They go out of their way to be supportive and caring and just plain nice. They always make you feel better about things and that's a pretty big deal when going through this experience. Nobody wants to go through a divorce but, if you do, you should contact Peter. He and his staff will be there for you and make sure you get the best outcome possible.

Peter has been a huge part of my life the past two years. I didn't want to write a quick, hasty review about how great I think he and his associates are, but rather a well, thought out ode to what he has done for me and my newfound life. A little over two years ago, I found out my husband of 13 y...ears was cheating on me via social media. I won't share the dark background about the things I found out about my now ex-husband leading up to me filing, but I will say that Peter was right there with me along the way. Peter and I were connected through a friend of mine after my first lawyer was dragging his feet, not pulling through, and blowing a lot of hot air my way. This friend was on the opposite side of Peter less than a year prior during his own divorce, Peter was my friends ex-wife's lawyer -- to me, that speaks VOLUMES when the very lawyer my friend was up against in court, he is now recommending I hire. And so my journey with Peter began. Upon our first meeting, I was hands down convinced Peter was the right choice as my divorce lawyer. I love Peter because he's very point-blank and he's a number cruncher. He laid it all out on the table as to what I'm entitled to and what I'm not, unlike my previous lawyer who blew smoke up my rear end promising me the world, and then some. Through no fault of my own, I was thrown into this situation where divorce was the only option for me, so its a VERY stressful, scary, and confusing time, especially when you don't expect it. Having an honest, no BS lawyer to guide me through was what I needed, and what I appreciate from people in general. I'm not the kind of person who needs or wants a hand holder, but Peter's empathy and support were always right there. California divorce law is pretty cut and dry: no-fault (meaning adultery is not taken into account) and all community property gets split down the middle. I do not have children, thank goodness, but there were major misappropriations in our marital funds. When you never suspect divorce will happen to you, this is all very overwhelming and terrifying, but I learned a lot along the way -- enough to write a book! Knowing what I was entitled to, Peter held his ground and got me a settlement (without having to go to court) that worked for me as I have special circumstances in that my job is home-based. While every situation and divorce is different, as well as all the "advice" from people you get along the way, I can honestly say that Peter was a beacon of light in many ways in a very dark time for me. After experiencing the first lawyer I hired who promised it all, then being connected with Peter, I have seen both sides of family law, and I would not hesitate for a second recommending Peter to anyone who finds themselves in need of a divorce or family lawyer. Peter and his staff have been nothing but a God-send to me, all of them very personable, warm, caring, and most of all, AVAILABLE, all the while keeping you on track with what to expect and explaining how things happen. I can't thank you enough Peter -- and your staff too! I endured the worst experience of my life with your guidance.
