Jeffrey Alan Shane

My name is Adam. I am a disabled senior citizen. In 2016, the U.S. government placed me on SSDI benefits for various medical conditions from which I suffer from. In 2020, I was a victim of a near fatal car accident. Mr. Jeffrey Shane contacted me asking to represent me. I met with Mr. Shane and sig...ned a retainer agreement. Mr. Shane informed me that my case was worth approximately 30k, and that I would need to make arrangements to dispose of my totaled car. I discussed this with friends, who felt that my case was worth significantly more than the amount Mr. Shane was claiming, along with that it is common practice for an attorney to get his client reimbursement for the damaged vehicle. I brought all of this to the attention of Mr. Shane, who then terminated our retainer agreement. I then interviewed another attorney, Morris Stern ESQ. Mr. Stern felt that my case was worth a lot more than what Mr. Shane stated, along with Mr. Stern guaranteeing that he would get a reasonable offer for my totaled car. I signed with Mr. Stern who got me a settlement of 225k and sold my car for $5700, which was $700 more than I had paid for that car seven years beforehand. At that point, I felt lucky that Mr. Shane was so incompetent and abandoned me. I was going to let this pass, but on 6/9/26, Mr. Shane sent me an unsolicited text offering me his services! I discussed this with another attorney, who told me that it is illegal for an attorney to solicit services, and I should therefore report Mr. Shane to the Bar Association. I just did that :-).
