have been working with this firm since April on my injury case and am appalled at their lack of communication and care. His paralegal, Gina Curtis, neglected to respond to me in a timely manner throughout the 7 months working with them. She would make me call to make appointments and towards the end... left me in the dark about the case's status, next steps and seeking acupuncture care. It was an overall frustrating process on top of a painful injury, which made me feel alone and not in good hands. Do not recommend whatsoever for those that desire timely and professional communication and service.

We hired him to represent us in court in a child custody case. He took our money and dismissed himself from the case the day of the court date. As a result, we had no legal representation at the hearing and the other party had an attorney. The judge would only talk to the other attorney. We lost t...he opportunity to increase visitation with my grandchild, we were better off before employing Barens.

They are very busy so sometimes throughout the long process it did take the office a little longer to get back to me. However anytime there was important or new information ...regarding my case I was informed immediately. I thought this lawyer would help me in the DUI case that I was going to court for. His office was situated in Century City and he seemed very knowledgeable when I went over the events that occurred that night. He said he would personally take on the DMV court hearing and appear in court for me to def...end me. Well, neither of those things happened. He assured me everything would be ok. I ended up getting the exact same fines that I would have without him. He never called me back when I called to ask for help. He simply rang me up for whatever he could get out of me and moved on. I recommend you move on as well unless you enjoy wasting your money...
