Amaris P Mao

Amaris P. Mao is an associate in the Los Angeles office and a member of the Litigation Department.  Her practice focuses on complex business and commercial litigation involving commercial torts, breach of contract disputes, and misappropriation of trade secrets matters. Ms. Mao also represents broker-dealers and brokers in securities matters in California state and federal courts, and before FINRA.  Additionally, she regularly handles employment matters including providing general guidance to human resources departments, and resolving disputes such as claims involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination. Ms. Mao has prior experience in products liability defense, environmental litigation, premises liability, wrongful death, and insurance coverage.

Ms. Mao served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Nita L. Stormes of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California; the Honorable Judith L. Haller of the California Court of Appeal, 4th District, Division 1; and the Honorable James B. Pierce of the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. She also served as an intern for the California Attorney General’s Office, Health, Education and Welfare Section.  

Ms. Mao lived in Taiwan for eleven years.
