Paul Louis John Takakjian

After reading about Paul Takakjian and the firm in the January 2018 DJDAR Legal newspaper and about his prior back ground in the DA's office I just knew that this was the guy that I wanted to hire. So on August 14, 2018 I took some of my critical court papers into his office without an appointment at... about 4:40pm and was given a intake two page form to fill out. Another female attorney whom had given me the form had stated that she was not the receptionist but would give my paper to him once I had finish. But, prior to me finishing the form Mr. Takakjian had came out in believing that I was another client but upon me stating my name he had stated that he just did not take walk-in's. Although I was wearing my ADA Disability vest I did immediately tell Paul that I was willing to pay for his time to speak with me after we had already semi-engaged in some very small talk for about seven (7) minutes on why I was there and what surrounded the background issues of my case. Mr. Takakjian then stated that he would prefer if I would first talk to his Senior Case Analyst Mr. James Kim and set up an appointment with him & come back into the office to give him the details and that James would let him know what the facts are. So, I immediately called Mr. Kim @ (818) 519-6883 that very same day downstairs in the car. On August 15th, 2018 Mr. Kim did call me back and had set up a 10am appointment for me to come in the very next day of August 16, 2018 but after twenty minutes of conversation he felt that it would be best if Paul was to be there at the meeting and that he would get back with me. On August 21st, 2018 & after five (5) days of no call back I then called Mr. Kim back and left him a message that I was still waiting for a new Appt date & time then leaving my name & my call back number again. When August 23rd, 2018 had came I had then called Mr. Kim back again but I kept on getting his voicemail, So I called the main office line (310) 312-8055 and had ask the receptionist for Paul and I had also explained my ordeal. At that point she had stated that she was on the phone with Mr. Kim and for me to recall him back as she was about to hang up with him, So I followed her advice. But, after five (5) attempts between 1:30pm and 1:40pm and all I was getting was a voicemail recording I then waited til 4:30pm before I had called the Law Office back on the main number and this time I had left a detailed message with Paul on the events since my last face to face conversation with him in doing what he had asked of me to do. It is now been two (2) weeks and I believe that I have been blown off because I did not have any open new pending charges that would have been a major cash cow for this attorneys time although his background from the DA's office was within his experience for what I had came to him for as he had stated in the DJDAR Newspaper during his interview I was giving the "Don't return my call treatment" probably because I was wearing my Yellow Vest and I didn't come in wearing a suit. Mis-Judging a book by the cover just as Oprah Winfrey was denied to shop in a store one time and the sale lady didn't know who she was and got fired after the store owner came on her TV Show and Apologized for what had happen, that did not get Oprah's money back in after that. My point is this: Had I read all of the reviews about this guy on here & seen the other negative comments I would have reserved my belief in his capabilities to take on my matter, especially when the person you are going to be paying can't sit down with you directly and make a determination on the merits of your case or see if his case load is jammed packed that he should at the least be able to refer you to another attorney after being in the business for over thirty-eight yrs. I am not saying that Mr. Takakjian is not good because I never lost any $$$ to have found out otherwise but I was not treated with a welcome mat @ all. Maybe a can place a review on YELP too!

I had gotten a DUI and I sought out Mr. Takakjian to represent me. His firm helped me throughout the process step by step, and was available whenever I needed advice regarding my sentencing. The firm continues to help and advise me. I cannot recommend Mr. Takakjian enough, I highly recommend him and... the firm.

My young adult child required defending in a criminal matter in CA. However I and the rest of the family live out of state. From my first online contact with the firm of Takakjian & Sitkoff I received information and help. The phone number I was given lead me to junior consulting attorney Sergio.... He listened and before long realized I might not have all the information. He told me he would clarify charges with the courts and call me right back. I was pleasantly surprised to receive his call within a few minutes with all details clarified. Sergio then recommended that a senior consulting attorney should handle this case. From the beginning, Attorney James N. Kim listened, provided explanations of charges and laws and possibilities for the outcome of the case. Though as a parent I asked him to keep me informed, I also wanted my adult child's confidentiality to be respected. And it was. I know Attorney Kim established an excellent rapport and communicated what was happening. Mr. Kim's grasp of the entire situation was unusual and his professional level of competence outstanding. He devoted an exceptional amount of time to both his client while lending support to this family member. He made himself available by phone, email and text. The outcome of this case was also exceptional. It gave my adult child a second chance. I do not know where one could possibly find a superior law firm and I am grateful for their service.

From the day that I met Paul in regards to my case he was extraordinarily helpful, insightful, and supportive. He, and his partners, outlined everything there was to know, from what to do next (and what not to do) to what to expect from a timing and process perspective. Unfortunately my need to u...se Paul's services came as a result of a devastating incident that had me in disbelief of what reality really was. Paul took the time to make sure that all questions were answered and that all expectations were properly set. Paul was extremely proactive through every step of the process and kept me well informed of where we were at with the investigation and then the case itself. Would highly recommend Paul for his knowledge in this arena as well as his utmost professionalism that he provides.

Reading the review below saddens me in the fact that people at times fail to communicate properly with their attorney and yet hide behind the anonymity of the Internet to bash someone freely when outcomes aren't favorable due to elements outside the attorney’s control. I must say the review below... truly contradicts the experience I’ve had with Paul and his team. I would say I am truly privileged to have Paul Takakjian represent me in my current case. Paul’s professionalism, work ethic, integrity, and honesty are just but a few of the reasons I feel confident that I ’m very well represented when I appear in court. It’s these reasons listed that Paul is so respected in the court room from the Judge to his adversaries. My personal experience has been amazing from the very first call to Paul’s team hearing my case to meeting Paul personally in his office to develop a strong defense. They had the compassion and sensitivity towards my needs and most importantly took the time to listen to every detail regarding the case. Paul truly cares about his clients and is passionate about what he does. I have never felt like “Just another client” with Paul. At times I've wondered myself how he does it, with every email, phone call, text returned the same day or if not at least in a timely manner. Paul’s attention to detail is outstanding, remembering and documenting items that play a key role in future court appearances. I have been what one would call the victim of an overzealous DA and a detective that has deliberately turned a blind eye to the truth. This having been a well publicized case it has not been the easiest case to represent as I'm sure. This has not stopped Paul and his team to vigorously investigate and produce results exposing the dim tactics used by the opposition in a not so fair playing field at times. If it weren't for Paul Takakjian I can assure you I would not be able to write this review today as the prosecution would have done as they wish with my freedom. Now we are at the breaking point and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel thanks to Paul and his team. An Excellent rating is not enough to describe Paul, more like “ Extraordinary”. I would encourage anyone in need of a Criminal Defense Attorney to contact Paul Takakjian, I wouldn't trust my life with anyone else.
