Paul Louis John Takakjian

After reading about Paul Takakjian and the firm in the January 2018 DJDAR Legal newspaper and about his prior back ground in the DA's office I just knew that this was the guy that I wanted to hire. So on August 14, 2018 I took some of my critical court papers into his office without an appointment at... about 4:40pm and was given a intake two page form to fill out. Another female attorney whom had given me the form had stated that she was not the receptionist but would give my paper to him once I had finish. But, prior to me finishing the form Mr. Takakjian had came out in believing that I was another client but upon me stating my name he had stated that he just did not take walk-in's. Although I was wearing my ADA Disability vest I did immediately tell Paul that I was willing to pay for his time to speak with me after we had already semi-engaged in some very small talk for about seven (7) minutes on why I was there and what surrounded the background issues of my case. Mr. Takakjian then stated that he would prefer if I would first talk to his Senior Case Analyst Mr. James Kim and set up an appointment with him & come back into the office to give him the details and that James would let him know what the facts are. So, I immediately called Mr. Kim @ (818) 519-6883 that very same day downstairs in the car. On August 15th, 2018 Mr. Kim did call me back and had set up a 10am appointment for me to come in the very next day of August 16, 2018 but after twenty minutes of conversation he felt that it would be best if Paul was to be there at the meeting and that he would get back with me. On August 21st, 2018 & after five (5) days of no call back I then called Mr. Kim back and left him a message that I was still waiting for a new Appt date & time then leaving my name & my call back number again. When August 23rd, 2018 had came I had then called Mr. Kim back again but I kept on getting his voicemail, So I called the main office line (310) 312-8055 and had ask the receptionist for Paul and I had also explained my ordeal. At that point she had stated that she was on the phone with Mr. Kim and for me to recall him back as she was about to hang up with him, So I followed her advice. But, after five (5) attempts between 1:30pm and 1:40pm and all I was getting was a voicemail recording I then waited til 4:30pm before I had called the Law Office back on the main number and this time I had left a detailed message with Paul on the events since my last face to face conversation with him in doing what he had asked of me to do. It is now been two (2) weeks and I believe that I have been blown off because I did not have any open new pending charges that would have been a major cash cow for this attorneys time although his background from the DA's office was within his experience for what I had came to him for as he had stated in the DJDAR Newspaper during his interview I was giving the "Don't return my call treatment" probably because I was wearing my Yellow Vest and I didn't come in wearing a suit. Mis-Judging a book by the cover just as Oprah Winfrey was denied to shop in a store one time and the sale lady didn't know who she was and got fired after the store owner came on her TV Show and Apologized for what had happen, that did not get Oprah's money back in after that. My point is this: Had I read all of the reviews about this guy on here & seen the other negative comments I would have reserved my belief in his capabilities to take on my matter, especially when the person you are going to be paying can't sit down with you directly and make a determination on the merits of your case or see if his case load is jammed packed that he should at the least be able to refer you to another attorney after being in the business for over thirty-eight yrs. I am not saying that Mr. Takakjian is not good because I never lost any $$$ to have found out otherwise but I was not treated with a welcome mat @ all. Maybe a can place a review on YELP too!

Facing a Third DUI charge, I came across Takakjian & Sitkoff online and called immediately. At sentencing, we rolled my fine into the jail time, making it 34 days in County, of which I served probably 16 hours. I now sit with that sentence as well as the several thousand dollar fine behind me from a court considered to be "very conservative" (which means harsh). Thanks to Paul and his methodological approach to my case, I was able to keep my job and continue to move forward with my life, despite my egregious mistake. If I had given Paul anything more to work with, I know he would have produced an even more positive result, but Paul knew exactly what he could do for me and flawlessly executed it. Trust me, when you're standing in court, expecting the world to crush you and your life to change forever for the worse, it's indescribably relieving to have such a well-respected and practiced defense attorney as Paul Takakjian there next to you. I was in need of an attorney concerning false allegations by three (3) of my city police officers. I was lucky enough that I chose Mr. Takakjian as my lawyer to represent me in this matter. Mr. Takakjian, listened to my statements of the facts, and contacted every witness that I provided him. He also... made sure the District Attorney and the City Police knew that he was not going to let their false allegations stand up in court and convict someone that in no way warranted their documented lies that three officers wrote on the police reports. Mr. Takakjian, was in constant communication with me concerning my case by e-mails, phone calls and greeted me personaly at each court date to explain where my case stood my options. I would just like to say, that I learned first hand that sometimes bad and unjust events happen in ones life, and our Criminal Justice System does not always get all the facts or the true facts and administer decisions by what is on a police report. Innocent people sometime do get accused in our court system. Mr. Takakjian, was there to represent me and challenge the reports and DA's case against me. In conclusion, all of the false charges were dismissed, no fines or court fees. And to this day, I know this outcome was only possible, by me having an attorney that belived in me and showed he was willing to fight in my behalf. I think Mr. Takakjian is exactly who you want if you are ever in need of this form of legal repersentation.
