Michael Raymond Karns

Mike spent more than a decade advising successful rapid-growth companies in both Silicon Valley and Los Angeles in matters including human resources law, licensing law, copyright and trademark law, workers compensation, real estate law, and international business and tax law.

Mike was a Deputy City Attorney in San Francisco and a member of the Code Enforcement team, where he specialized in coordinating the efforts of the Building, Health, Planning, Public Works, Fire, and Police Departments to identify and respond effectively to health and safety threats and other public nuisance issues in San Francisco’s neighborhoods. He also pursued and won additional remedies against violators through litigation.

Mike has represented numerous clients in recovering monetary compensation for personal injuries involving car accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, slip and fall accidents, unsafe products, construction site accidents, and pedestrian accidents, as well as business cases involving breach of contract and fraud.

Mike was born and raised in Los Angeles.  He received his Bachelors of Arts in philosophy from Stanford University, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Law School.
