Total Incompetence, Not Well Versed in HOA Reasonable Accomodation Requests

I would not recommend working with David Swedelson. Throughout our legal process, he lacked the understanding of the law and sensitivity needed when dealing with disability-related issues and reasonable accommodations. His approach was overly aggressive, and he refused to schedule a meeting to discus...s. The situation caused unnecessary stress for my family, especially my disabled (Federal Officer injured twice in the line of dury- now perm disabled) enforcment wife, and it seemed as though personal feelings influenced decisions that should have been handled professionally. After having LOST several times in court, our HOA ultimately was forced to PAY US a VERY large amount in restitution, and David, who has worked with our HOA for 15+ years, was abruptly fired. I see another review referred to him as a buffoon, which is a perfect description of his incompetence.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
