Bart represented my building in a landlord/tenant dispute. Even though we had all the evidence on our side, it was still a "David vs. Goliath" situation because frankly the whole legal game is so rigged against the average person that we were hard-pressed to even FIND an attorney that would represent... us. Our first lawyer meant well, but she was soon in over her head with the amount of sheer paperwork force our opponent could muster. We were then introduced to another attorney that wanted such a crazy amount of the potential winnings that it was shocking (60%!). That guy even chickened out when he found out "something" about our opponent he wouldn't reveal. Basically, our opponents were "insiders" and part of the city government. Luckily, one of the tenants had a lawyer friend that read about Bart in a legal newsletter. When we showed Bart our evidence - he loved it! The fact that we had a tough opponent didn't scare him... it made him want to fight harder! In the end, Bart got us what we wanted despite some tough hurdles. Because of my work, I've met a lot of bozo lawyers. Unfortunately there are lots of them. Bart however, is an attorney for the right reasons and he has the you-know-whats to take on cases because he believes in them.
