Absolutely Not!
What this "lawyer" failed to do: return phone calls or emails, be informed of the specifics of the case. Took it amongst himself to spend time writing unnecessary documents, attempting to charge for them, never giving an explanation. Try to get him to do what you hired him for? Impossible. H...
We regret that you had a bad experience with our firm. We probably should not have agreed to take on your case but we were compassionate with your situation, and even though you expressed an inability to pay for a full-blown litigation against the City of Los Angeles, we agreed to work with you if and only if you agreed to provide 100% support and assistance with the lawsuit, to which you agreed in writing. We also regret that the Complaint was not filed at the time that you wanted, but as you know, your case was undergoing an administrative appeal for months, the results of which were necessary to complete the Complaint, and if the Complaint was filed any sooner, it would have violated the California Torts Claims Act and would have been much more costly for you. We also have issue with your opinion that we were never in contact with you, as we have records of hundreds, quite possibly thousands, of text messages, emails, and phone calls between you and the firm. We also have record of having over five hours of face-to-face time discussing the details of your case. We take issue with the fact that all we did was come after you for money. On the contrary, we have documentation that the $5,000 retainer you paid us was extinguished in June of 2013, and yet we continued to work on your case through the middle of October 2013 even though the retainer was not replenished. After you expressed no desire to assist with the case as previously promised, and after racking up an unpaid balance of $23,000.00, we felt that it was in our best interest to withdraw from the litigation. Of course, because we hate having unhappy clients, we have chosen to waive collecting the unpaid balance from you, and also gave you a fileable Complaint, which you can do so on your own, or with another attorney. We hope these two concessions somewhat ameliorates your bad experience with us. Best of luck to you.

I had a tenant who had been in my property for six months without paying rent. I had hired and eviction service but had no luck getting them out. When I consulted with Aalok he was very knowledgable about landlord/tenant law. He immediately wrote up a three day notice and walked me through the pro...

Proffesionalism at it's best
Knowledgeable and professional, what we needed in a lawyer, helped and advised in all that was needed . I would say the perfect lawyer, dedicated to his line of work.
"I endorse Attorney Sikand. From his answers and time on Avvo, it is clear he is dedicated to serving those in need and his clients. It's rare that lawyers spend so much valuable time helping the community, for free, and I applaud him for doing it to such a great level. Kudos."
"I have known Aalok since law school. He is smart and works hard for his clients. I endorse this lawyer."
