Although my client did not receive profit from the 4-films I recovered in a lawsuit, and he never paid me any portion of receipts, the Bar found that I failed to advise him in writing to “seek the advice of an independent lawyer” under Rule 3-300(B). Cal. Lawyer 3/06 p. 66. Ironically, I got a Judgment for my client of: $2,148,049 against distributor; $3,000,000 president; & $1,300,000 in punitives. LASC #BC029647.”
